If you're interested in those style of shirts with Loops artwork, you'll have to go through Zazzle at this link: http://www.zazzle.com/bhtoys/gifts

One thing I really wish I would have picked up for the con is the shirt but I didn't put in a request in time.  Is there anyway the graphic can be posted on Zazzle like the other shirts shown in the link above?  Or can a file of the graphic large enough be made available so one can have one ordered from a site like Zazzle?  Thanks.

Sounded like everything is done shipping except for the movie toys.  Greg of Hasbro did say they were going to see if anything unreleased 25th toys are still available in US warehouse for distribution in Toys R Us Canada.  Otherwise only movie toys coming soon and they plan to carry everything in Canada.  Sounded like MARS 3-Pack was street dated for May 1st but some made it to shelves which he hoped wouldn't happen to other movie toys.  Would explain why I found MARS 3-Packs at the London, ON White Oaks Mall Wal-Mart and Brantford, ON Wal-Mart on April 30th.

Really liked the staff, set, guests, seminars, vendors, convention center and large number of attendees.  I thought there were a lot of cool things to see around the area.  I liked visiting Niagara Falls, St Catharines, Welland Canal, Fort Erie, Royal Botanical Gardens and seeing more of the Great Lakes.  Most likely will make the trip next year and check out Toronto and more of Ontario.

My set is #45.  Everything is perfect.  Thanks.

Upon reaching the Convention Centre, you will see an underpass - there is a roof over the front door and cars drive under it to drop people off. When you reach the location - you'll see the doors and you'll see where you're to wait outside.

Thanks for more details.  Will definitely help.

Thanks for the quick reply.  The map was the only one I could find that showed the entrance.  I think I know where the admission doors/main entrance is now.

Here's a picture of the outside of the Convention Centre?  I believe the entrance is shown near the center of the picture and is facing west?

The first person there can decide that.

I would suggest lining up to the LEFT of the admission doors. That's usually the way lines have gone with events at this place before.

But if security asks you to move - PLEASE make sure those that are in front of you - remain in front of you. No budding. No fights. Anyone caught doing either will not be permitted access to the Convention, and thus - will have no chance at the set of exclusives.

Is the main entrance marked on the Convention Center ground floor layout where we should line up?  At the bottom left of the diagram on the ground floor.  Is the area outside the main entrance large or will the line most likely follow the outside wall along the sidewalk?  Just trying to figure out where to show up in the early hours May 2nd.  Thanks.

Awesome set.  Great job putting all this together.  Hoping to make the trip next week.

Very cool HATE tank.  You guys really put a great set together this year.  Has a photo been posted of the complete set in the box?

Introductions / Hi from Minnesota
« on: April 20, 2009, 01:39:08 AM »
My name is Jim and I've been collecting GI Joe toys since 1982.  I've been to the last 4 Joecons put on by the GI Joe Club and would really like to start attending the Canadian Convention each year too.  I'm off the week of the Canadian Con and a trip out to Hamilton sounds like a lot of fun.  I've been to Thunder Bay and Sault St Marie.  I travel to Lake Superior on Minnesota's North Shore each year and I would really like to see Lake Ontario and Niagara Falls if I make it out that way.

You MUST have a wristband, and have a VIP admission to be able to purchase a set.

Hi, after reading the April newsletter, this post and many others I'm unsure how to buy a VIP admission ticket/badge.  Are these purchased at the same time the set is purchased or do I have to buy one from you through the mail?  I wouldn't want to wait in line, get a wristband, and then find out that I had to pre-register for a VIP admission sometime before the Convention.

Also, will the line be clearly marked for the early birds so we don't line up in the wrong place while the real line starts somewhere else?  Will there be a sign stating the line starts here.  Will the line be outside?

I am seriously considering driving to Hamilton for the convention from Minnesota because I'm off that week but I don't want to get into the wrong line or be unsure of VIP ticket requirements.

Thanks,

Jim
