Recipe of the day
« on: October 02, 2010, 01:19:44 AM »

Inspired by a purchase of a POC wave 2 Dusty and Zartan--both excellent figures- I have a swap-bash recipe for a all new character:

YOU NEED:
25th Tiger Force Flint
POC Wave 2 Zartan

Pop head off Tiger Force Flint & remove harness.
Put on black "Sandstorm" vest & head w/ goggles onto Tiger Force Flint body
Add tricked out MP-5 from Zartan set...

...and there you should have a simple straight-forward swap bash.

I like it. Now all you need as name and some character info.

Okay, how about this:

UNDERBRUSH
 Tiger Force Jungle Warfare specialist.

File Name: Flynn, Neil
Primary Military Speciality: Infantry, Jungle Warfare
Secondary Speciality: Janitor
Grade: E-5

Underbrush started out as a janitor for a Hospital Teaching  school, then got bored with the silly dramas there and decided to enlist, where he promptly found himself doing the same job after basic training.
He transferred to infantry, took the Ranger course and passed, and then applied to the Joe Team.
He was accepted......and was assigned janitorial duties yet again.
In a fit of pique, he approached Hawk and got a spot on the Tiger Force, where he currently serves.

General Hawk says:" Whatever career luck Underbrush has had seems to have been cleared up. He's an asset to Tiger Force. Maybe there was something about mopping all those floors that's made him a better soldier.
He checks under EVERYTHING, looking for trouble. If I need a soldier to clean up a mess of COBRAs, give him a "room broom" and he's the one I'd turn to".

Now THAT is how Larry Hama would write a card... So do you happen to know who this janitor is in real life?

Hmm. That looks better then what I did with my head / vest set. I'll have to look around for another Tiger Force Flint, or at least try harder then just using a ROC Duke body.

Thanks!
I thought of a jungle term, picked the word "Underbrush" and thought a good double-meaning would be jungle warrior and janitor.
I know Larry liked to playfully write the double-meanings into the code-names because it gave the characters more fun and "depth".

So  I googled "famous janitors" and picked the first entry............he's a recurring character from the TV series SCRUBS--a show I have never watched.
I thought the name worked and the basic background flowed from there.
Is there ANYTHING Google cannot answer?? LOL!
