General Joe Talk / Re: Haslab Classified HISS Tank ($299.99US)
« on: November 30, 2023, 01:26:29 PM »
Well they did have a deadline of last Friday for people to update their addresses before the HISS ships.  So that should mean they will start the process this week.

I also saw online some reports that people are getting shipping label generation emails from FedEx.  So maybe that means they'll start shipping in the next week or so for some people?

Just found on BBTS that they have further reduced the price of their complete wave 1 set of Joe ReAction figures.

They were on sale for $100US, but now they have further reduced them to $60US!!!!

$60US for 15 figures is $4US a figure (before taxes, shipping, exchange rate).  However that still works out to probably just under $10Cdn a figure once all is said and done.  Not bad if you are into the ReAction figures.

TRU has expanded their Black Friday sale on Joe items.

Here is what is listed on sale on the site this morning:

TF Duke & Ram - $33.47
SE & Timber - $33.47
Sgt. Slaughter - $24.97
Retro Lady Jaye - $19.97

I think the other Retro figures might be on sale as well, but they are showing up on the site.

Forgot to add that TRU has only one thing JOE in it's flyer for Black Friday.

The Classified TF Duke and RAM will be 50% off ($33.47).

I already grabbed one for 50% off when they had the 25% off sale on Joes, and I had a 25% off coupon that stacked on top.  However I'll probably bite on another one to have an extra TF RAM for backup.

Finally found the giant snake toy at Dollarama.   It is the perfect size for a mutated Cobra creature, and $5 works well.

ALSO.....

Some pretty big news out of Hasbro Pulse.   It looks like they have made a permanent change going forward.

Canada will now be part of the US pricing structure for shipping!!!!!

That means as Canadians we now qualify for cheap/free shipping on order from Pulse.

For orders under $75US shipping will be a flat rate of $6.99US, for orders $75US and over shipping will be free!!!

Man I both love and hate this change.  I love it because now it becomes a bit more reasonable to order stuff through Pulse, especially single higher priced items, without worrying about an extra $30US being added on to the price.  I hate it because of the amount of money I have already spent on Pulse over the years where I had to bite the bullet and deal with the extra cost.

There have been reports of a larger Snake (Cobra) figure/toy showing up at Dollarama for $5.

It is from McFarlane Toys (a couple years ago) and it says it is a "Rattlesnake" (but it has the hood of a Cobra).

Anyway it is nice and large so it can easily be used as a display accessory for your Classified figures.  Because of course Cobra Commander would have large mutated snakes as "pets" to use against Joes, or feed prisoners/deserters to as well.

Just had Mole Rat and Alley Viper dropped at my door!!!!

Because I ordered them separately they shipped them in separate boxes, but the boxes were too small. So the top flaps of the boxes were bent and creased down to fit the box. Thankfully no real damage as the cardboard is so strong. Not even a crease line so if I flatten it out and put some weight on it they should straighten out again after some time.

Can't wait to crack them open later tonight. Now just waiting on Shooter.

Got a delayed shipping notification from walmart.ca. No new time frame for delivery on Shooter, Crimson AV, or Mole Rat.

Same for me.

Not too happy about this, especially with them showing up again on Walmart.com for order.

Someone local to me (Ottawa) said they found some Mole Rats at their local Walmart in Smith Falls.  If true then it means stock is in the country, now sort it out Walmart Canada.

That Vamp is a must buy for me.  It and the RAM and Breaker were the first Joe vehicles/figures.

The dollar sucks at the moment, but I am hoping the guy I use who brings them in directly from Hasbro will have them for around $180 canadian, of course unless the dollar totally tanks.

I caved and pre-ordered 2 Vamps directly from Pulse.  Works out to a few cents shy of $260US, which with the current exchange rate is $360Cdn.  So that is $180 per Vamp.  Not ideal, but at least the price Hasbro set in US dollars was reasonable.  $100US for the Vamp with Clutch is a good price.

I have to say they hit another one out of the park with the Vamp and Clutch.  They really went all out on the details for the Vamp and Clutch fits in perfectly with Grunt and Breaker for the OG style (updated) look.

Is there an online checklist of all the Classified figures released?  I am not going full hardcore on collecting these and only buying figures that look "cool" and available in local retailers.

You're best bet is probably Yojoe.com or 3DJoes.com.

They seem to be the best sites for comprehensive lists/pics/collections of Joe product.

I got my Tripwire from HasbroPulse and I'm not sure if I'm that happy...

2 helmets... but I will only use 1
2 vests... again I will only use 1
2 neck protectors, I will use none to improve head posability
His backpack can only carry 1 mine, and good luck to remove it when it's in
The mines have a peg, so they don't stay flat on a table
The vest are not easy to close. Those small rubber pegs are not collaborative...
The Mcleod robot looks good, but the treads are not working
Each vest has a small hole on the back, this tiny hole has to align with the back hole of the fig to fix the backpack.
1 arm falls off when putting on the vest.

Overall, good fig with extras accessories to jutify a higher price.

That is disappointing to hear.  I am really looking forward to this figure, but it might be a case of "set it and forget it" where I put him together in one look and leave him that way for who knows how long.

I did pick up Firefly and Grunt on Friday.  I absolutely love Firefly and Grunt.  I can see now why people so loved Grunt. I thought he was going to be an OK figure, but man all the accessories and little details really make him a great figure.  I am disappointed in his rifle though (the one not based on the cartoon guns).  It is warped pretty badly and from what I have seen online it doesn't seem to go back to original shape even after heating.

Firefly is also an awesome figure, and so far is everything I had hoped he would be.
