Post by: latinjoe22 on November 22, 2009, 02:31:46 PM
Get ready to rumble: Montreal Comic Con December 6th

Where? Place Bonaventure.

Follow this link for more information on guest attendance and admission fees:

http://www.montrealcomiccon.com/ (http://http://www.montrealcomiccon.com/)

I'll be having a table this time, and it's paid for in full, so I'll be there, no buts this time. So if I'm sick, I'll make sure to send an Ernesto Synthoid to represent me...

The Mike: I'll be handing out flyers for our site on that day as usual

Thanks for offering Classifiedonaplane but I'll be good for this time. I still have a good stack left from the previous show so let's try to save the trees some trouble this tiem of year LOL. I might need some more for the next Toy Con though...Let's see for now how it goes.

Aight, no problem.  Just let me know if I can help next time!

Also, the trees used the make paper come from paper farms, where trees are grown specifically for the purpose of making paper.  When they cut down trees to make paper, they plant more trees.  So really, if you want to have more trees planted, use more paper.  Now you know, and knowing's half the hassle!

I'm wishing you luck in person when I see you tomorrow and shake your hand!  Don't worry, I got my T-Virus shot today and my arm hurts something fierce...  Okay, so maybe I won't be able to shake your hand, but I'll nod or something!

I want to thank everyone who came for their support. It sure was a long day!

Highlights of the day:

I got rid of my Star Wars Escape from the Death Star boardgame... ;D

And I got myself a very cool handmade tri-dimensional Cobra Logo in a trade.

And I found a Mercer for 2$. Very cool.

Downsides of the day:

Not worth mentionning but hey, no day needs to be perfect .

It was great seeing you again, man.  Hope I didn't come off sounding like a cheap jerk!   Thanks for the Julia - she's standing with Faye, Ein, and Spike right now.  Til the next con, see you, Space Cowboy!

It was great seeing you again, man.  Hope I didn't come off sounding like a cheap jerk! . But seriously I could tell you so much about the entire day on what really bothered me ( again, not you  ;D ) but like I said it's not worth to ponder on the negative side of the details, it's just best to turn the page. I'm still glad that you stopped by my table, that's what I meant by support, it's not about the buying part.

I was glad seeing you man. That's one of the highlights that I forgot mentionning  ;D. We didn't talk much this time but you also seemed like you had limited time and a heavy program ahead, so I didn't hold you back either. Plus, we do more chatting on this thread to catch up .

For the last 18 years, every toy show or convention I've done, there has ALWAYS been someone that has offered a stupid-low price on something.

Customer : "How much is that Skystriker?"
Me : "$50.00, it's complete with both parachutes."
Customer: "Will you take $10.00?"
Me: "Sorry, I can't do any less than $45.00"
Customer: "How about $15.00?"

Yep, got a few of those yesterday which are the most classic.

But I also got some people who literally told me off...and for no good reason.

Customer: "How much is the Wing 0 Gundam figure?
Me: "that one is not for sale as it's on display only (no price tag), but If you want I have other Gundams in the bin over there at 10 bucks each."
Customer: "Nah, I'm just looking around out of Nostalgia"
Me in my head: "Then why ask for the price in the first place dammit!"

 :P Oh well...they'll be back.
