General Joe Talk / Here's a sad story for ya.!!!

I live in a rather small town where everybody knows everybody else ( one of those places ). Anyway couple days ago i ran into a guy i knew from high school @ the local pizza place. This guy in his 40's and im in my 30's. So i ask him '' hey Troy, did you ever have g.i joe figures from the 80's when you where a kid..? '' The answer i got was: '' YUP, TONS !!!... I even had the big aircraft carrier,,5 or 6 big planes, all kinds of men and a whole bunch more vehicles/ I almost had em all ''

So, therefore the next logical question is, " where are they now ? and can i buy them ? ''

I said to him " what did you sell them off a little @ a time in yard sales and stuff " ?

The answer i got was: '' NOPE ! DUMP !, GONE ! Mom just up and descided one day to clean house ''

Then he adds to the hurt, get this, he goes '' If i knew you woulda wanted em i woulda told you to come get em a long time ago and i woulda GIVEN em to ya '' Then i was like this:

So the moral of the story is, never give up i guess. You just dont know when or where your gonna find g.i joe treasures.

P.S Anybody wanna get together and arang a search patern with me @ the local dump...? LOL

General Joe Talk / 25th ann. vehicle delema..??? tiger rat

I have a 25th ann. tiger rat in box without the TARGET sticker on it. It cost me 20$.

I see i see the 25th ann. TARGET exclusive tiger rat going for around 75$ on ebay and other places.

Did my sticker just fall of the box...and i really have a target exclusive one....?

Or did they reproduce this vehicle in a non-exclusive version...?

I only ask because the checklist im using dosent have the tiger rat listed in the NON-exclusive vehicle section.

It does on the other hand have it listed in the Target exclusive section.

Whats going on here exactly..?

Today, i discovered why they call him '' mickey mouse '' cobra commander.
Also learned of the new 2011 convention m.m cobra commander.

I want one now... How was it packaged when you first got it...?

Hey, guys iv been a member for a week now. I guess its time to allow myself to introduce myself ! ( LOL )
You may ask about the heading i chose. Why the 2 locations ? Because i live in between these 2 places. And if you tell some one you live in Saulnierville, people are like " where the heck is that ''. So @ least this way people from Halifax or Annapolis valley/New Minas could see that im not too,too far away from them, and we could meet in person for trading or selling or just to check out each others collections.

10 months ago i jumped back into collecting the 25th ann. line HARD!!!. Im over halfway done to having everything in the 25th ann. line.
Also picked up some 30th ann. line too. Im gonna try to complete that after i have my 25th line done. But i still pick up whatever i can, when i can from 30th.

I'd lik eto get into P.O.C but its just way, way to expencive try collecting 3 lines @ once.

Other then that. I started making custom vehicles this week. So far i did a Cobra Artic Skysweeper Jet. And im currently working on
a Artic Dreadknock 3 wheeled motorcycle.

Anyway, always looking to buy/sell and trade.

Love to hear from you locals. There is exactly '' ZERO " people that i know with in 600 km.

Im in dire straights ( awesome band! " so far away from me" ) Anyway, Im hurting for cash right now. Ive got a lot of figures loose and sealed, plus a lot of custom parts for sale. I valued the loose and sealed figures ALONE @ 600$.

The first guy or gal to offer me 200$ takes it ALL!!!

New/Used whatever. Looking for any amount of starcases to fit 25th ann. line. Not the ones with g.i joe printed in the plastic on the back. Just regular starcases from protech.

100 of them would be ideal.
shipping from the states is so expensive! EhHH.....For the new ones.

Hey folks, Im not into customizing because im not set up with the proper materials, but too often i find myself dreaming of customs i would make if i had the time/skill/and patience. So i just wanted to post a few ideas i have and see what people think of them:

IDEA #1. I rescently watched the new Die Hard movie this week. And in the movie there is an attack hellicopter that shoots @ John Mclain and John Mclain Jr. when they are in the highrise building. This helicopter looks earily similar to the Tomahawk. with a few exceptions like; The blades on the taile rotor are to the left side of the chopper and a lot smaller/incased in a circle. Also the cock pit is different, in the movie the chopper has a 2 bubble cock pit. It looks like one area for the pilot, and the bubble above has a bubble dome with a machine gun. It looks like the helicopter in the movie is some kind of real life updated version of the original Tomahawk chopper..?

So with the new Tomahawk comin out soon and a g.i joe retaliation Joe Colton that could so easily turn into a 4'' Die Hard John Mclain. My brain started doing something it doesnt do too often...? Thinkin'

IDEA #2, Cobra Island/ Diorama / whole thing/ 25 feet by 30 feet. LOL Nuff''said. LOL

No but siriously, I would love to hear from you customizers on the whole Die Hard thing. I would even purchase this idea from someone if they could do it very,very well...?

Looking for people to trade figures with locally ( save us both shipping costs, or @ least lower it ). There are exactly '' ZERO " joe collecters that i know of in my area. But i see that some of you, like silent dusty post stuff in the sightings department @ digby wallmart and new minus and other places that arent to far from me. Heck even just getting into contact from you guys around Nova Scotia would be good enough..!

PM, Me so we can start talkin about collections and stuff.

Im trying to complete 25th ann. EVERYTHING ! right now, getting into 30th slowly. Lots of sealed and loose 25th and 30th to trade or sell.

Hi, does anybody know what all the canadian carded 25th ann. g.i joe figures are...? Just the 4'' scale not the 12''.
basicaly looking for a checklist here. also confused as to foil and non-foil, i have all the flash bag cards, but resently got snake eyes and hiis driver on canadian card foil
. But my cobra viper from the same wave is non foil with a 25th ann. logo in the corner...? and all the rest ( 30 figures ) of my 25th ann. canadian stuff is non-foil/ no logo in corner.

Totally confused here...?

Been collecting 25th ann. U.S figures for the last 2 years. Had my u.S figure checklist since day one.
Havent EVER found one for the 25th ann. canadian carded figures.

Little help here..? Anybody...?
