Interesting. It's a group about everything Gi joe (discussion, sell, trade, events, etc)? I didn't see a description or a group mission.

Threaded toggles or toggle bolts work pretty well for direct drywall mounting unless the drywall ever gets wet.

http://www.todayshomeowner.com/testing-wall-anchors-and-picture-hangers/

We use lots of toggle bolts here at work for shelving but you need to make sure to stay under the rated weight.

I completely agree with Zenith. The applications go even beyond shelving. We've even specified Snaptoggle bolts heavy duty wall anchors to Anchor handrails on a 1/2" drywall panel Inside an exiting stairway that needed to comply to building code requirements of being able to resist a load of 7KN applied uniformingly on the handrail. They will do the job.

Off Topic / Re: Canadian dollar and your impact
« on: February 14, 2016, 11:55:28 AM »
I mainly sell to US buyers who are more willing to buy now. And I tend to buy more domestically. Plus, as others mentionned it, Paypal really is making it harder and harder for both Canadian and US buyers to buy from each other. I Wonder why.... it is senseless because it's like commercial suicide for Paypal.

Oh, and I'm sure this is pretty much related to our dollar drop: there are more people at shows buying their stuff there now. More than before. Local shows seem to have drawn in more attendance as well.

Off Topic / My DEADPOOL movie review
« on: February 14, 2016, 11:53:15 AM »
On friday I had the chance to go see it. Believe me, I tried not to go see it because I did not want to endorse a sadistical character who I remember appeared back then on X-Force. Anyway, I was completely wrong.

I saw the movie, and it was Great. It was a better movie to me, than the Force Awakens felt like. It is a genuinely good movie. Something that feels fresh and had me laughing from beginning to end.

Beware parents of kids and teens alike: DO not, and I insist, do not let them go see this movie, for yours and their own good. It is NOT appropriate for them, it never was (even in the comic books, he was a character that I always felt didn't have an appropriate place in traditionnal comic books, hence my predisposition against him at first, but these are the movies, so it's different). This is really the most important thing I had to say, and the fact that the movie completely took me by surprise. It really satisfied expectations where I didn't have them at all. Enjoy!
