Title: ID this version of RAM
Post by: morgardee on September 25, 2006, 08:43:17 AM
I've never seen this version of the Rapid Fire Motorcycle before. The stickers look newer on it but I don't recall it being re-released. Also, the grey parts on it and the camo are different. I looked on yo joe but there was no mention of it. Anyone know this bike?

Gah, I can't post the pic. The file size is down to 9.18 KB yet I keep seeing the message "Sorry, you have reached your maximum Upload Quota Limit of 256 KB".

Help?

I might be a GI JOE Revell model kit RAM, provided if the RAM you have is different in size compared to the original.

It's Funskool.
The side and the gun are painted aren't they?

I"m pretty sure it is.

If it was made in India, it would have Made in India on it.  So are there any factory stamped markings on the RAM?

Could be, but the front fender is different,  the paint job is similar.
There isn't much on Yo Joe other then the box picture.

I won it on ebay but haven't received it yet as I'm waiting for one more auction to end, then I'll paypal the seller and when it shows up I'll compare it in size to an average RAM and look for funskool markings.

I wish Hasbro or the master collector group would re-release this bike. I've always loved the RAM and prefer it over the Silver Mirage motorcycle. I know funskool had the mold minus the side gun but didn't Hasbro reclaim the Joe molds? I hoping with the 25th anniversary next year we will see the return of this bike. Heck, throw it in a comic pack with 2 figures instead of 3 and I'd be in heaven.

Anyhow, give me a week or so and I'll have it in hand and I'll take pics side by side with an original RAM.

Thanks for all input guys.

Sorry, I should have made note tthat I was thinking of the Street Hawk bike  but your right Mike, if it was in that picture then it's safe to assume that funskool had the whole thing.

Just to update, I got my ebay auctions that had that RAM in it. It had to be that model kit and the pipes were painted grey, plus it was broken so i am now in the process of asking the seller for a refund as well as a refund for a broken Stalker figure and a Snow Serpent figure that never showed up. He also overcharged me on shipping and I am work to find a fair resolution on that. he's from Montreal and I was charged $18.00 for something that cost $6.59 Canadian. I understand keeping the US vs Canadian difference in postage rates but 3 times the shipping was a bit more than I expected.

I'm being calm and level headed with him and not freaking out. Heck, I've waited a year to resolve things in the past, so I usually don't go nuts on people as long as things can be sorted out in a fair manor.

I'd be a little P/O myself with that one as well. I don't know how people think
that its fine to rob you on shipping. Then they use that handling fee crap!!!
