Title: Artwork for 2007 Canadian Joe Meet Figure
Post by: BHMike on March 12, 2007, 02:16:02 PM
Fellow Canucks (and those that aren't!) ;-)

Allow me to introduce you to the newest Canadian Joe Meet figure.

Who is he?
What side is he on?
What weapons does he come with?

All this wil be answered - THIS weekend.

Enjoy - discuss - promote - post on other sites if you wish - just tell folks about the meet!

...and thank Loop for the amazing job he did (once again!). Loop rocks.

Mike

Wow, that looks awesome Mike.

I love the head, but I can't place it.

And I love the crotch. :shifty:

I'm looking forward to having him in my hands. Based on those coluors, I can see him as Black Ice's sidekick, maybe his proteg?? But he looks like a Joe too. Are you pulling a Barrel Roll/Black Out style brothers torn between factions?

Or maybe it's a totla swerve and he's the long lost Crimson Triplet, Xamotomax, kicked otu of the Crimson Guard because he's colour blind.

The arms are easy to recognize.  :P

Head looks to be from the Desert Scorpion, torso and waist are from the Aero-Viper, judging from the design, the boots seem to be from the original Nullifier, but the thighs aren't from Nullifier so they could be anyone's guess.
I'm deducing that much like Scramble's "Canada Pride", this figure is going to be all casts, except for the arms?

Besides trying to play detective and disecting his parts Jay - what do you think of it?

Oh, and you're wrong on part of it. ;-)

I've gotta agree with Jon; out of the 3 figures I think this guy's the best yet.  I can't put my finger on what draws me to it exactly, but its freakin' sweet looking.  I can't wait to see the actual figure!

Props to Loop for sure; you're always outdoing yourself, man!

Looks like a Joe figure to me.

I agree out of the three figures, this one looks to be the best of the bunch - and that is without even seeing the figure, and only going from Loops great art.

My guess is he is a Joe, specialy I don 't have a clue.
Really looking forward to seeing the figure with weapons.

Love it, too bad it seems I won't be able to make it to the meet...  :(

And if the boots aren't from Nullifier... then they're from Road Pig... and if they're not... then I'm stumped.

I like it. Either Cobra or Joe and he looks pretty good. Should make a nice addition to the lore of Joe Canuck.

BTW, I swear I've used those legs on a custom before but I don't remember where they came from. At first I thought Battleforce 2000 but now I don't think so.

I will not attend the meet do to a project I am working on. But 1st I must practice for the javelin throw contest at my school.  I used to run hurdles, but it made me sweat to much.

Looks awesome, if that is a desert scorpion head, then that's a nice use for it.

So how far is the meet from Minot ND?

What the blork?

Anyway, the reason I probably won't be able to attend is a valid one. If everything goes well this week, I should start work at Future Shop once April starts. And to ask for days off to travel to Toronto when you haven't even been employed for half a month, well... that's pretty stupid.

nice art work, how does one get the figure if they cant make it, and how does one get last years figure?

You can only get the figure when you attend the meet. It's an incentive to come out and socialise with fellow Joe collectors/customizers. Same went with the past years' items.

Unfortunately, that pretty much leaves the Autistics and the Aspies out of the meet, eh?

Not at all. Anyone that has Autism or Aspergers is more than welcome, and fully capable of attending. No clue why you think people that have those wouldn't be able to attend.... they're just the same as everyone else - with a special name given to them. That's like saying someone with Down Syndrome isn't allowed to attend.

What gives man? If you're bitter that you won't be attending - blame yourself - don't pick on those with symptoms or such that they've been given. I know of a deaf person that's attending.... not being able to hear the event isn't stopping him.

Congratulations for you. Welcome to the select few people I know that have it - my wifes uncle and my childhood friend (that I'm still friends with). Her Uncle runs his own company and flys across Canada on a monthly basis.

Surely if you can afford a Train ticket you can attend Jay! Don't consider it a crutch that you're an 'Aspie'. Plus, as Loop said, what's the point in bringing it up in the first place?? Sympathy? You're able to function in this world just like all of us - like I said, if someone with Downs is attending, then I don't see any reason anyone else can't - short of not having the cash for transportation/lodging that is.

Jay, what the hell?

Why are you acting like a jerk all of a sudden? You had like the majority of a year of good behavior on this board and others, and now every post is a negative rant or a "poor me" post. It's dull, irritating and brings down the level of discussion.

I'm tired of it. You came so far in getting along with the community, and you're right back to where you were before when you got temp banned from Joecustoms.

And don't blame any "conditions" you might have - I've seen you behave like a normal reasonable human being, so I know that you can do it. You either choose to do it or do not. Clean your shit up, or don't bother coming around anymore.

- Moderaptor.

first up...loop does indeed rock.

secondly...thanks to all involved for the design, the manufacturing and the packaging of these figures.  they have become a hallmark of the meet, and as we've learned this past year, they are regarded highly by the international joe collecting community, and rightly f*&^%ing so.

finally...i wants one!
