Title: Ripcord
Post by: Kronz on December 26, 2008, 05:03:31 PM
Do you think the reason we didn't get Ripcord is because he is going to be played by Marlon Wayans in the movie?

:D

It's totally possible and that's a shame. I like classic Rip Cord.

Yeah I am a big fan of the original too. Hopefully they can figure something out.

I'm pretty sure Hasbro has said as much in a Q&A.

They should have just called the character Stalker in the movie.

Except that "Stalker"meant "bad ass" scary in the 80s. Sometime in the 90s it came to mean "creepy" scary.

It's unfortunate we have Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, anyone see him in the terrible D&D movie, nuff said. I too would like to see a reissue of the original, too bad we won't get it.

To be fair, he was the comic relief in Dungeons & Dragons. I don't find Marlon Wayans funny in general and he didn't have very funny material. There's nothing about the promotional images of Ripcord that I've seen that make him look like a joke.

My favorite part of D&D was when I couldn't stand him anymore and uttered "I wish this guy would F'in die" then he did.
