My Joe Figure Run
« on: November 11, 2007, 11:33:13 PM »

Well, just yesterday I purchased the last figure from my want list.  Although three of 'em haven't arrived yet (fingers crossed) I now have the full run up to 1987, when I stopped collecting as a kid.
I'm still short a few accessories (and a variant or two) but I've got every character figure (even MM Cobra Commander!).

I hope this feeling of accomplishment lasts a while, and I'll try to avoid justifying completing the '88 line...

I was excited so I had to share...  ;D

Once you get the 1988 figures you want, then you will get the rest of the lame ones.  Sort of the same trap I fell into as a completiest.

Same here... Once you get the wants, you kind of sit around then go, "Ok, now what?" Then you start to see "what else is out there" and you see a couple of things that look interesting, and then a few less so, but they still catch your eye. Then you decide to buy one or two, not to start a new year to complete, just because they look interesting... then... well, skies the limit so to speak.

I can see how easy that would happen.  A Night Force figure here, a Night force figure there, and it would be tough not to justify finishing off the year...  :P
