I found them to be a little flimsy too, but luckily most collectors don't have your pipes Pete. ;-)

If you were going to open one, Snow Job was the one to do. If it's not the best figure released so far, it's in the top 3.

:chicken:

Agreed.  SnowJob #1 so far

So far I've been on the fence myself with the figures. The I opened my new Beach head (with fixed crotch) and my faith has been 100% restored in this line. He posses great, his gear looks great and stays on and he is not flimsy at all. I know firefly is basically Beach Head but I'm guessing you have the diaper wearing version Mike.

Locate a new Beach Head figure and give that figure a try. Mine came from the new wave 6 I just got from Smalljoes. BTW, I took just over a week for my last order from them to reach my house, no duty taxes, a full case for around $60 CND after shipping. Beats buying them here in Canada. How sad is that?

Beach Head was the second single pack I have opened.  It's a great figure.

Snow Job, Torpedo and I'm actually REALLY impressed with the battle Armor CC.

What's unfortunate is that I only want to get the 25th versions of characters I really enjoy, either as a kid or as an adult. So I'm torn when I hear that Snow Job and Torpedo, two characters I have never cared about in any incarnation, are the best figures in the series. Do I break down and buy two mediocre (to me) characters with awesome figures, or do I continue to only buy the few characters that really speak to me despite lackluster figures?

So torn.

Those figures are so awesome they will BECOME characters you enjoy - therefore fitting your criteria.

WIN - WIN!

I agree, Snow Job and Beach Head are nice figures - I was also impressed with the second version of FireFly I got recently - the movement in the legs allows him to move much better.

I am hoping to have the next three - R&R, Armor CC and Torpedo shortly, but my guess is all new figures that are not repaints from the first and second wave will be improvments.

Armour CC is the best fig of wave 6 to me and here's why - I already like Torpedo and RnR from back in the day and the updated sculpts are cool, yes...but I would've liked them regardless :)  1987 ACC I don't recall because I was done with Joes in 1986.  I didn't particularly like the figure when I was introduced to it later when I got into collecting.  It looked a little too sci-fi for me.  The vintage-style comic pack version was pretty cool but that was more due to the fact that it was a Fred in the suit.  With this new updated sculpt I am totally impressed with the design...I can truly believe that there's a maniacal bad guy in there and he's ready to face the Joes on the frontlines!  I am now a fan of the 1987 Cobra Commander design.  Excellent job Hasbro!

One more cool thing about Wave 6...the stands have TWO footpegs...so the figures can actually stand properly now!!
