« on: March 31, 2011, 09:33:18 AM »

Now I know where Hasbro is looking for some ideas..
PoC wv. 3 SS

From the Ninja Gaiden Sigma game:

PoC wv.1 Duke

Solid Snake

What's your opinion on this?

5h4rK, can you post a better pic of Solid Snake, so I can compare with Duke.

The resemblances were cited almost immediately once the figures were shown months ago, in their prototype stage. The influence is probably a bit inspired because associating the characters with gaming counterparts is a savvy way to sell them--because consumers tend to favour things they are familiar with. We did get some nice figures out of it.

Without searching further online, these were exactly my thoughts when I saw these figures at retail for the first time: Rya Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden and Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. In fact, I bought a "Solid Duke" in order to make a SS surprise custom for a good friend of mine.
