Wetsuit
« on: June 16, 2011, 01:22:12 PM »

When the 1986 figures came out, Wetsuit and Beachhead were my favourite.  The only reason I got the Devilfish was that I loved the box art with Wetsuit and Beachhead on it.  That's also why I loved the cover of issue #47 of the comics so much too.

When the club showed the Wetsuit figure and that it used a lot of POC Beachhead parts, I was thrilled.  I went and got a POC Beachhead after I confirmed I was able to get Wetsuit.  I thought they would look cool side by side.  However, I wanted some elements of the scuba gear on Wetsuit so I made some changes and have him displayed with Beachhead now.

However, the scuba mask is too big to fit on the Wetsuit head. <!-- s:( -->:(<!-- s:( -->
I swapped out the head and put Chuckles head on the body.  Now, the hat won't fit anymore...haha. I'm debating which of the two helmets to use.  The smaller one in the pictures might look too small for him but the color is a perfect match.  The Breaker helmet seems to make his head look huge.  I don't know which to use.  Maybe I might mod a Benchpress hat to see if I can make it fit (I don't want to mod the Wetsuit at all so I can revert him back).

What do you guys think?

With Scuba gear:

With the smaller helmet:

With Breaker's helmet:

I know, but I got the idea from actual Navy Seals.  I've always wondered how they could just come out from a swim and still function as well as they do with wet clothes.

I love that you gave him land combat utility uniforms. I always loved wetsuit but hated that I could only use him for water purposes.

The greens look great and are far less limiting.  I so wish I had him.  47 is likely my favourite cover too.

Very nice.
