Too bad it's based on the Venom vs Valor idea.
Paramount Home Entertainment and toy maker Hasbro Inc. have teamed to deliver a direct-to-video animated feature film called "G.I. Joe vs. Venom," slated for release on DVD and VHS in the fall, according to PHE and Hasbro executives. "When the 'G.I. Joe' animated series was first introduced more than 20 years ago, it revolutionized children's animation by giving kids an ongoing saga with a compelling fantasy and cast of characters," PHE president Thomas Lesinski said. "Now, we are able to help continue the legend of G.I. Joe through an action-packed movie for fans of all ages." Hasbro has tapped Dallas-based Reel FX Creative Studios to produce the movie. Reel FX is known for its work on "Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams" for Miramax and "Saving Jessica Lynch" for NBC.
Stay tuned for more details about the release.

Better than nothing....... I suppose.

True, I'd rather see an animated feature than a live-action movie.

This is animated.
The live action one will be later.

Hasbro needs to do something to create a buzz for GI JOE and for kids to buy it. This is a step in the right direction.

Yeah, I'm more skeptical about the live-action. They can't get any worse in an animated feature after watching the stupid tank from Spy roops.
