Coming soon, the adventure continued in 1997 and is now completely documented in the R.A.H.C. Guide!
After a brief hiatus in 1994, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero gained a resurgence in pop culture causing a re-release of some favorite characters in their classic molds. This revival eventually induced some experimenting with these classic characters in bold and exciting new directions. Not only did fans get to revisit some of their most cherished icons within the G.I. Joe mythos, they were introduced to new characters that are now known and loved.
This full color, 172 page compendium fully explores all six series that were produced within the second generation O-ring torso era (1997-2007) including the Built to Rule line and the Collectors Club special releases. This guide beautifully illustrates the era's 689 action Figures, 135 vehicles and play sets and 1,349 accessories including all known variations. Not only is every accessory present and accounted for, they have each been assigned a unique number and identified throughout the resource guide. The accessories are then culminated in a separate section clearly displayed and organized by category. Each action figure has been carefully examined between its initial run and further re-releases to ensure that an accurate sample is clearly and concisely presented for the collector who is identifying individual action figures or sorting through unorganized lots. +1. Gotta have this.
-
Definitely a must-have! I just sent an e-mail to get updates.
-
That was a tease! I'd like to know when and where this will be available and for how much!!
I barely bought anything from this era as there was lots of junk, but there were also some of my absolute favourites as well, specifically the comic packs. This book looks fantastic. I'm curious, whoever is doing this, have they done an equivelant from 1982-1994? I have the Mark Bellomo book, which is great, just wondering if this book has a companion.
-
thats a must have in my book! :P
-
Thanks for all the positive responses! I am really stoked to move forward with this resource guide. As soon as I get a printing quote I like price and availability will be announced. I would love to tackle the era that started it all but if sales go well for this guide I would work on the third, and current, generation of Joe. Thanks again for all your support!!
-
We can't wait for your book!
-
KuukuuSon, that looks like a promising book that will complement my other resource books. Can't wait for it to become available as well.
+1 Timbit for you!
-
Will it be ready for CanJoeCon 2011?
-
I want them now ;D
..the presentation and layouts are very nice in those books!

More news on this for people that did not sing up for the updates.
The book will be $40 and will be available at the JOECON in Florida. It will be released in limited quantities so if you are going to the JOECON, buy it right way as you may not get a second chance. No updates if it will be at the CJC yet but there is lots of time for more updates to come.

Another Update:
Hi gang, the moment is finally here! I'm not going to set up a fancy lil e-mail, just type out the bare basics so please visit www.rahcguide.com (http://www.rahcguide.com) to catch up on all the fan reviews of the R.A.H.C. Guide on your favorite message boards!! With that being said, the cost of the book is $40 with $5 shipping and handling. Payment can be paypalled via rahc.guide@gmail.com (http://mailto:rahc.guide@gmail.com)) so I can look into how much shipping is to your location.
I am very excited to provide this book for you and can't wait to hear your response! Please remember that not only is this guide self published in limited quantities, it is being processed and shipped by myself and might take some time. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding!
Sincerely,
James "KuuKuuSon" Kavanaugh Jr.

Yeah, met the guy at joecon, friendly fella. I asked him if it would end up at borders/books a million and such. I think he said he would like to see it go that way, but right now it depends on the success of this first print run.
And 5h4rK, I dig that international book, it doesn't seem to be available anymore...

Oh I didn't know that :(, I bought it several years ago so.. eBay maybe?

Those 3 guides are pure crap. Actually, the 2nd and 3rd are. Having never owned the first one, I honestly can't say if it's crap or not..... but I'll consider it guilty by association.
The last two books - wrong accessories with some figures, missing items from others. Complete garbage. I tossed mine in the trash a few months ago when I used them for a collection I bought. Had to go through the entire collection again and used yojoe.com just to make sure everything was correct - so many errors in those books. Blah!

Did you buy the book? Is it as good as the hype?

I'd like to know as well if it's worth shelling out $40+ bucks.

Seriously? I'll have to take a look for myself..all my RAHC stuff is still MISB so I don't care for the missing accessories..pictures were ok! But I'm sure that James's book is WAY better (and the vehicules are included, yay!)

I'm with Realboss. I prefer to buy books in person, but I agree that this may be an exception as it's not likely to be available at my local Chapters.

That may not happen, so I will buy my copy online if he is not at the CJC this year.

Rest easy guys. James contacted me already - he's coming to Canada. You can contact him directly to ensure he brings enough books for everyone. ;D

YES! Add another $40 for have extra for the CJC!
-
Great news! I was apprehensive because I hate shipping on top of the actual price and at $40......
This book will be a great addition to Marks two Ultimate guides.
This and Loops comic are priority on my list. I just hope work doesn't screw me over like the U.S. Joe Con. Right now I'm unsure I can attend.
-
If you can't attend, let me know what you want to get. We still have a trade that we have to complete!

Another Update:
Hello all! I'll make this brief as it's bed time for this tired book shipper. I have shipped US orders that were placed Monday night and before and have prices for International buyers. Canadians will pay $9 for shipping and all other countries will pay $18. Interestingly enough, there is very little difference between UK, Turkey, Japan, New Zealand etc. Admittedly, I did not ask about Mexico or anything South American so if you are from there, let me check before you ship (they might be cheaper based on them being on the same hemisphere). Keep in mind, I am no expert on international shipping. Thanks to all who have ordered and for those who have placed orders today (and those who will place orders) I will get them out as soon as possible. Thanks a lot!!!!
-
For all you Canuckleheads that will not be going to the CJC, he is your chance to pick up this book!
-
I'll wait for the con!

I'll wait for the con!
Me too, I want him to sign my copy.
-
How many copies will be available at the con?
-
All I can say that there will be more than enough. No worries!

More reason to hit that booth first, so you can use it on the dealer floor!

Hi all! I had an absolute blast at the Canadian Joe Con! As always it was great to be there and see everyone and an honor to be considered a special guest. Sales have been going strong but it's not too late to pick up your copy of this very limited edition resource guide! It has been an exciting honor o set up at The Canadian Joe Con and Coil Con II and the next stop will be Wizard World Chicago. Stop by and say hi and check out the guide if you haven't already.
-
It was nice to see you at the con, James.
Like I told you, I love your guide, and recommend it to anyone who has any interest in the collections covered by it.
See you at the next Joe con!
