Hi Guys,
I just got informed that Hasbro has set a start date for pre-order for the G.I. Joe Retaliation toy line.
Quote from my supplier "Items have a strict on-sale date of May 28, 2012 and online preorders are not permitted at this time."
I will be carrying this line but to give a heads up the price per case will be a lot higher then in the past.

they did give me a case breakdown but do to the limitations i can not list it here or get in BIG trouble with my supplier and Hasbro
the cases will have 12 figures per case the price went up 26% from the last time. the price will roughly be $135.00 per case
Alpha vehicles will be roughly 125.00 per case 8 vehicles per case
Bravo vehicles will be roughly 87.00 per case 4 per case
Showdown action figure sets will be roughly 100.00 per case 4 per case
Delta Vehicles will be roughly 60.00 per case 2 per case
these prices are just estimates. They are expect to be released in May so if you want i can order a lot and have them ready for Canadian Joe Con

Ouch. They really did go up in cost. That's $11.25 per figure. It's still cheaper the paying $9.99 plus tax for a figure ($11.29).
It's a tough call. Do you plan on buying all the figures? Are you willing to gamble that they will go on sale later? You can pretty much bet that they will go on sale at some point, so are willing to risk it and are you willing to wait?
What does sound like a good deal is the Showdown action figure sets. $25 for for 3 figures is $8.33 and lets be honest, the one Showdown Set with the repainted Storm Shadow figure looks really good and is easy to army build.
What's a Delta vehicle again?

I wonder how they can justify that. Even the $10.77 + GST we're expected to pay at Wal-Mart now is a bit insulting.

But it is not the same figures i am getting and i was just informed that the case price on the figures has gone up by 6 dollars now the case is up to around 140.00
They are blaming it on the cost of oil.

That is what lead to the end of the 12 inch figures in the 70's.
Next thing you know we'll be back to those 2 ich sigma six figures again. Ugh. I can't wait to see what the GIJCC stuff costs this year. ::)

Are we sure that they said no pre-orders before May 28th and not April 28th? The reason I ask is that all other e-tailers have them up as of this morning (BBTS, EE, Kokomo, Smalljoes, Past Generation and even Brian's Toys). Not doubting, just wondering if Canada got the short end of the stick... ;)
