I'll be staying at the con hotel Friday night this year. I might only arrive around midnight, however. Any late night activities planned?

Now that feels like a JoeCanuck message board.

Quebec / Celebrate my 30th birthday with the 1986 GI Joe movie!
« on: July 23, 2010, 03:52:22 PM »
This is an open invitation to my fellow Joe Fans. I rented out a theatre at the Dollar Cinema on August 4th for my 30th birthday. I will be playing the widescreen version of the 1986 animated GI Joe movie. You're all welcome, although there will be a cover charge of $30 to pay for the rental of the theatre.

Find out more on Facebook.

Yearly CanJoeCon Discussion / Mrs Fritz books available
« on: July 10, 2010, 11:34:17 AM »
I'll be bringing plenty of copies of my Mrs Fritz's Kids storybooks to the Can Joe Con in a month. Anyone looking to buy a copy of the newest book, You Think That's Great, or either of the first two books What's In Mrs Fritz's Hair and Aliens Stole Pizza Day, let me know and I'll be sure to track you down. They are $10 each, black and white storybooks in the vein of Robert Munsch, and ideal for 7-10 year olds.

Off Topic / What's on Mrs Fritz's Website?

A lot of you guys know about and have been real supportive of my series of children's storybooks, Mrs Fritz's Kids. Well we finally have a website up: It's still under construction so any comments are appreciated.

I want to like this and it might be right up my alley. But it might also try to be cheesy to make up for the low budget and ruin what could have been fun.

Introductions / Going to Japan!
« on: March 19, 2010, 03:42:33 PM »
Hey guys,

I leave for Japan in twelve hours (fitting a Bon Jovi concert in before we go). I'll be back in three weeks!

General Hawk made a list of his top 50 GI Joe releases of the decade. Coming in at an impressive #22, our very own Black Ice.

Quebec / Wal-Mart RoC stock disappearing?
« on: August 26, 2009, 05:12:51 PM »
I hit three Wal-Marts today. Pointe Claire had a half dozen Neo-Vipers, a couple of Baroness, and a couple of Destros. Decarie had a Destro and a Scarlett. Angrignon had a Neo Viper. I think it's a good sign for the line that these stores, at least two of which had decent stock last week, are going through it so quickly, but it sucks that I can't take advantage of the $5 figures.

Quebec / Split a case of Wave 5 vehicles?
« on: June 30, 2009, 03:38:55 PM »
I'm interested in half a case of the Wave 5 vehicles: the Ghosthawk and the Stinger. Is anyone local interested in the other half (Arctic HISS and Claw/Flak) and willing to go half on the shipped cost of a case? It doesn't have to be from Big Bad Toy Store if there is a cheaper alternative, I just linked to them because they have pics and the case break down.
