HasLab Revealed - Snow C.A.T. with Frostbite

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDJ2N-7Q_XU

Damn it.  I think I am going to order one.  This thing is awesome.

Yes it is.

The only thing is the size.   Man is it a BEAST!!!  That thing is so much bigger than I expected it to be, especially next to the HISS.   I'm not sure how that will display.   However that is a future me problem because I am all in.

Also love that Bivouac as a tier.  So much better than patches and I'm sure we'll see it again down the road in the traditional green.

So thoughts on the first Yo Joe June stream?

For me:

A little disappointed by the product reveals, or the lack of more reveals, but that was alleviated by Emily saying they would be back each week in June.   That said I think we'll have a lot shown off by the end of June.  Here is what I think we'll see in the coming weeks:

June 11th - next retail wave of single figures and maybe one name reveal and one digital render
June 18th - Rattler unboxing along with a name reveal and digital render
June 25th -  Here I am not 100% sure.  It may be the Haslab reveal, or they may wait right until the end of June on the 30th.

As for the reveals this week.  Basically everything was a homerun (again).  Budo is just F#$%ing incredible.  He is probably the first non-army builder that I am tempted to pick up at least two of for the amount of use of the accessories.   I didn't preorder Budo because he is a mainline release and a bit more expensive as a deluxe offering.  So I figure he'll be available fairly easily.

I preordered Slice & Dice off of Pulse because they are a great 2-pack, and a Pulse exclusive so I don't want to miss out even if they don't sell out.

The MMS I am waiting on as well.  The price is $105Cdn and that is a bit high for my tastes right now.  Also doesn't help that Amazon and EBGames still have it up for the wrong price (around $140).  It looks great, but with such wide availability I can wait until it releases before picking it up.  Also the HMS was a Pulse exclusive and never sold out, and was on sale a couple times.  Also now it is available at EBGames.  So I figure the MMS will also be a slow mover despite having Colonel Hawk to fill out more of the OG13.

The name only reveals were interesting.  I was never a big Desert Scorpion fan but I can't deny the look is good and the scorpion "pet" could be interesting.  Though I would prefer the robotic scorpion from the 25th/ME era over a mutated giant scorpion.   The Steel Corps Sentry w/Defender Post could have been interesting, but I am assuming it will just be a repaint of the Cobra Fortification that is coming with the Trench Viper.  That kind of takes the shine off what it could look like.

The render reveals were good.  Though not sure why we needed to see the AWE Striker again instead of a physical product.  The Legacy Police Officer is great.  I love the load out.  Sarge w/Mercer looks good as well but Mercer seems a bit small to me.  I know he is a freakin' giant in the Skybound Energon-verse comic, but I still feel like he was pretty big in the movie which this figure is base on.  Also his hair seems a bit off.  Still another great looking 2-pack.

Hoping I can get that Cold Slither SDCC set because it looks great.  I am disappointed there is no microphone and that Buzzer looks like he can't actually sit on his stool (in the video you can see he is basically squatting over the stool).

Haslab Snow Cat anyone?   I thought it might be the Mauler, but maybe they decided not to try and compete in the tank market right now after Ramen Toy put out their tanks.   The Snow Cat is a great vehicle and after watching some Youtubers I can see that it is more than big enough to warrant a Haslab.   I kind of wish it was the Havoc (as per the leaked list of 4 options).

less than 10 minutes after it goes up for Amazon, it is sold out.
https://a.co/d/hDXApSV

I absolutely hate exclusives.

Not showing sold out anymore.   Also available on EBGames.  Both Amazon and EBGames are charging a ridiculous price ($140).  This thing is $75US.  The same as the HMS and EBGames has that for $97Cdn.  So they are way overcharging.  Better to try one of the Canadian online retailers (DJC Collectibles, Toy Snowman).  They are both charging $105Cdn.

Overall some great reveals.  I preordered the Slice & Dice from Pulse, but I'll wait for the rest.  Budo is a mainline release so he'll be plentiful.  The MMS will definitely come down in price, at least on Amazon.  If not I'll try the Canadian online etailers who are much cheaper anyway.

Based off of Emily's little post credits thing the Haslab is probably going to be the SnowCat.   Between all her little cold related comments and the snow falling on the Haslab logo it is probably a safe bet.

Guys, ToySnowman has the MMS for 104.99$

https://toysnowman.com/collections/g-i-joe/products/g-i-joe-classified-series-182-clayton-hawk-abernathy-with-m-m-s-mobile-missile-system-preorder-dec-2025

Same with DJC Collectibles.

Apparently it was a pricing error on Hasbro Canada's part.  The MMS is the correct price with Toy Snowman and DJC Collectibles.   Amazon and EBGames got the wrong price.   Also supposedly the price has been corrected, but neither Amazon nor EBGames have updated their pricing.

Got a notification that my Credit Card is about to be charged for Dial Tone.  Ordered in Dec or Jan - I forget when.

Where did you order him from?

I was too wishy-washy on that wave and so I missed out on Dial-Tone.   Got everyone else, but now I have to wait and hope he shows up more in stock once this batch starts showing up.

Dial Tone is still available here:

https://mapleandmangoes.ca/collections/g-i-joe/products/g-i-joe-classified-series-dial-tone-6-inch-action-figure

They have a "Toy chest" option where you can hold all your orders and make it ship once (when you reach free shipping)

Cool Thanks.   I'll keep an eye and see if they have stock left over once he is actually "in stock" elsewhere (if that ever happens).

I just noticed the name they gave Crystal Ball.
Richard "Crystal Ball" King, clearly a reference to Richard Bachman/Stephen King.  Just the name alone give me nostalgia for the retro file cards.

Yep and didn't they use his son's name for another character during ARAH?   I'm sure that character will pop up eventually.

Edit:

I just looked it up and yeah his son Owen had Sneak Peek named after him.

Are we getting a FANG?  The artwork on the back of Snake Eyes would suggest it.

The FANG also showed up on the Star Duster package (I believe).

Of course nothing is guaranteed just because it shows up on the package.   I mean the Bridge Layer and that Cobra white tank (from the cartoon) showed up on the packages of some recent preorders.   I don't imagine either of those is going to be showing up in Classified anytime soon, if ever.

However the FANG is a single person, small, vehicle.   So it is probably a very safe bet that it will show up in the next year or two.

Also just a heads up.   The CLAW is up for preorder on Pulse (Premium members only until 2pm EST).   The nice thing is it is priced at $55US.   So the same price as the Ferret and Trouble Bubble.   Which is where it should be, but with everything going on I was worried that it would be the start of higher pricing from Hasbro.   Glad to dodge that for this release at least.

New images for the latest wave (Monkeywrench, BACC, ...)

https://toynewsi.com/278-57473

They all look good, but Monkeywrench and CACC (unfortunate acronym)  Combat Armour Cobra Commander are the winners in my book.   Let's see if they bump the price on these.

Man, I did it again and bought 1 cobra soldier and 2 sailors (I am ashamed to say I have too much). Toysrus is closing and the Super7 joes are super cheap with 30% off. No more cobra soldier left, but still some sailors left.

I miss shipwreck, I am waiting for the o-ring version, which they will release... Well I hope so!

Nice, yeah the closest TRU to me is closing (after opening in 2023) and unfortunately they don't have any ReAction figures.   Even the next closest one, which isn't closing only has a couple sailors on clearance, but I don't need the sailors.

The fluffy is the highlight of wave 2 imo. The others are nice, but you know what you are getting. My feeling is to choose and pick only what you like most - then it become more manageable price wise.

Zartan is the star of wave 3, again imo, but the color changing feature gets me.

Yeah the temptation is there for never done before characters like Ramar and the Fatal Fluffies.   It is great to see them finally get a figure.
The rest though are easy to wait for a sale, if there ever is one, because I already have a version of them, or the look at some scale.   Something like Arctic CC is great, but between the design choices and the fact I have CC in multiple scales, across different lines, means I can wait to see if this ever goes on sale.

Zartan would have been a tough choice if Hasbro hadn't revealed their Classified version already.

I am really tempted by some of wave two (Ramar, FF).

However I'm not deep enough into O-Ring anymore to want to pay the full price ($26).   If it can drop down to $20, or less, then I'll pick them up.  Otherwise I will enjoy from afar.

As for wave three, it is a good wave, but not hitting me as well as wave two.   Zartan looks great, and of course he should have the colour change gimmick.  However I'm deep in Classified so I'll be trying to get the SDCC set.  Wild Bill looks good and it is nice to see the cartoon look over the toy look.   I just wish they had given him a revolver instead of the pistol.  Snake Eyes is Snake Eyes.  Good representation of his cartoon look.   Arctic CC is pretty good, but the decision to paint the coat details on his legs is strange.  From a distance it looks okay, but up close it looks terrible.  I'm sure there was some manufacturing/cost reason behind the decision, but I'm not liking it right now.
