I think it really depends on price and the exclusive.

TRU sold through so well on the SRO 3 packs that they over ordered and now are stuck with a ton of them.  Same went with the 5 packs, but they didn't order as much and so they are now gone.

I would think the larger exclusvies like the Jets would be harder sells than $10-$15 exclusive figures or packs.

Personally, I don't think that the Walmart/Target exclusive packs would have trouble selling up here if they were released 2-3 months later because they are desired, small items.  As such, I know that I would buy a couple of each at $15-$20 a pack.  Again though, price and desirability are the two key factors in my decisions.

Found Helix, PIT Commando, Crimson Viper and Flash at 2 different Walmarts (Hwy 7/Jane & Eglinton/Pharmacy).

Sorry, but I cleaned out the PIT Commandos, but there should still be the other 3 still there.

Hey Guys,

Just got home to Toronto about an hour ago.

It was a lot of fun, but I have to agree about the convention date.  It completely turned me off of posting anymore about the Con.

If you guys want a wrap up, let me know and I'll post one.

As to coincidence or not about next year, I'll keep it to myself, but I know where I stand.

Sorry forgot to mention.

Toynewsi.com has really great shots of the Adventure Team (3 3/4") Club exclusives under their Joe coverage.

I was too far back to get screen shots clearly, but they have really good shots.

Collector's Club panel:

Beginning of this year Hasbro told them they were destroying most o ring molds in Asia due to age, rust and storage cost.  Club was able to make a list of what they would like to see kept.  However that is a small list and many molds are now gone.  It was apparently cheaper to make new molds rather than refurbish old molds.  So no guarantee on next con set (25th or ARAH)

Club membership exclusive fig for 2010 is ARAH Big Lob (that is not a joke).

M.A.N.T.A. Squad is next M.O.T.H. Type sets.  First two pack is repainted Hydro Vipers.  Second set is underwater demolitions diver.  Similar in idea to 25th Cobra divers.  ARAH Eel molds are gone.

REALLY different direction coming up.

Club exclusive sets of Adventure Team using 25th molds!
4 possible sets:
- first set w/FANG copter in adventure team yellow (I have a pic of this).  The FANGs are already made so set 1 is a guarantee.  Comes with one fig I think
- second set comes with 2 guys (orange &jungle green suits) and monster Venus Fly Trap [already made]
- third set is one figure with 6 wheels vehicle from spy troops painted adventure team yellow
- possible fourth set would be blue figure with white/grey Mantis sub repaint.

Just a quick update on Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Heavy Duty).

He had some great stories about filming, but overall he came across as a wondeful, boisterous, and extremely charming guy.  Tons of energy!!

Line of the panel:  Someone asked his favourite: Baroness, Scarlett or Covergirl.

His answer (in a fun way):  "there's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and I'll get back to you on Saturday."

IDA comic panel:

Upcoming origins: Baroness, Beachhead (explains why he has amnesia), Snow Job (in Venezuela?) and a seperate special on the twins.

GI Joe: Cobra volume two in Jan.  First issue cover has Chuckles in jail cell.

New Hama silent SE issue coming.  From pics it seems to be called Mute Testimony.  Unique in that Larry drew all the issue instead of writing it for the artist whose is going to officially draw it.

Operation HISS is 5 issue miniseries follow up to ROC movie.

Ray park approached IDW to write a movie SE miniseries.  Will be out soon.  Co-writer is Kevin VanHook (friend of Park).  He is an established comic writer.

No TF/Joe crossover in foreseeable future (directly from Hasbro rep)

Hama claims original Special Missions books were pain in neck to do because everything was condensed into one issue.

According to Larry, original silent issue took 2 1/2 weeks to do which is really fast.
The letterer for that issue did only the title and credits, but was paid for the whole book.

Finally Hama's fastest book ever was "James Bond: For Your Eyes Only" adaptation.  From absolutely nothing to finished completely for printing: 7 Days!!
