no, because he arrived at the wrong time in the comic. AFM was cancelled at #15 (he appeared in the last one) and the only UK originated material after AFM #15 was a couple of text stories and a couple of strips that appeared in the UK annuals

i was just reading the article in the old newsletter aboot Back-stop and his poor treatment. Did you know he appeared in Action Force Monthly (aka GI Joe: European Missions) in the UK?

He's not the star, but he is integral to the team, driving Falcon around in the Persuader, and appears on the cover...

I'd like to get a set of the cards, but I've got to ask, since I'm a UK resident would I still get them gratis or would I have to pay for the postage?

*cough*

Mark's just a grunt. He's from the Special Forces Support Group, which is the British equivalent of the US Army's Rangers - they go through SF selection, but they're not in the SAS or SBS. Most are paratroopers. Mark's basically the squad machine-gunner.

in respect of your answer, anyone got any suggestions for names I could use?

(do Canadians even have a nickname for their troops like GI Joe or the British 'Tommy Atkins' name?)
