Wow, they make the same noises?  So "air raid," "general quarters," and "all clear" are the same as police sirens and such?  My set doesn't work, I would love to get the same thing for 9 bucks.  I just got my flagg out tonight and set it up.  Missing 7 pieces.

Yes, for this Super Siren model: air raid = police, gen quarters = fire engine, and all clear = ambulance.
As long as the Super Siren had those sound effects, it was exactly the same as the one for the Flagg  ;D

My prayers are with you and your family, olyeller01.
I am eternally grateful to all of the soldiers who fight for our freedom and take on physical and psychological challenges that many of us cannot.

Cool story, wish I had that kind of patience!

Awesome review, I'm glad to finally hear (or read) your initial thoughts on this playset!
I'm also grateful you touched on reproduction parts - those weren't a big deal when I wrote my review, but the repros have steadily gotten better and harder to tell apart from original parts.

PS: if you don't want to get an original PA/sound system, try tracking down a bicycle siren/horn speaker (aka Super Siren).  They're actually the same thing, only the Super Siren goes for about $9!

If you do buy them, remember to save the sellers' pictures of the figures for future reference.
In the past, I've bid on auctions that were "cancelled" at the last minute because they going for less than market value.  Then the same items would turn up a week later being sold by a different seller, but from the same location... that's a sure sign of an untrustworthy African Mask seller!

That's very interesting news indeed!  If something this big gets released for the Avengers movie, maybe there's hope for larger vehicles for Retaliation?
I don't see this as an aircraft carrier custom (doesn't appear to have the width), but it would make a great starting point for a Landing Craft Tank/Hydrofoil like in the early comics!

General Joe Talk / Re: So what do you think of the Grey Hiss??

I wonder if the colour scheme is an homage to the 1989 HISS II?

Awesome strike team, looks like they'd be a perfect Joe Canuck sub-team!
Lynx's maple leaf is kind of hard to see on the chest (I'm guessing the flash is to blame?).  Speaking of which, I would'nt worry about re-using names, Hasbro did it all the time.
Skystriker, Ferret, Viper and Falcon are all figure and vehicle names.

Ha.  Nice "I love Rock 'N Roll" bumper sticker!  I don't follow Transformer stuff, so I have to ask:  if Shattered Glass Soundwave is a good guy, then is Cold Slither (or the Dreadnoks) a real band or good guys in that universe too?
I did have an obsession with 1982-86 licensed stuff like the Dekka tableware and UNO cards and lunch box, etc (love the early artwork).  I think I stopped when non-toy GI Joe stuff became hard to find dirt cheap.

Nice work!  I like your Sure Fire and Barrel Roll better than the Club's choice of parts/colors.
I'm glad you did Barrel Roll's glider out of a CLAW, it's exactly what I wanted to see on Tan Grunt.

You're lucky!  My local Zellers (Sheridan Centre/Mississauga) waited until after Black Friday to put them out!

At least they had plenty, I don't feel so guilty buying two ;D
