Happy Canada Day
« on: July 01, 2008, 11:44:48 AM »

Happy Canada Day, Everyone!

Kind of a messed up holiday, this year - a long weekend would have been nicer.  Nonetheless, I wish you all a hot barbeque, Bright Fireworks and cold beer on this Day!

Have a good one

Happy Canada day to all too.

Hitting a super wal*mart today (only thing that's open and we need some camping supplies for this weeked) - what are the odds that wave 9 (2k8 wave 5) will be on the shelf?

I'll let you know this evening!

whelp - nada.

Even at a super Wal*Mart there was only 1 peg on the shelves dedicated to G.I. Joe and it was empty. :(

In Quebec we wish everyone a happy "moving day". That has nothing to do with the separatist ideology, but more because most of the apartment leases finish June 30th. So most of the people need to move July 1st to their new apartment.

I think we are one of the only place in the world in that situation. So that means :
  • No more truck are available that day
  • All price are boost up for that day
  • And more people are working that day (just think all the addresse and phone number to change

Took a bike ride, had a beer and cut my lawn. Happy Canada day to all.

I know it's not technically a separatist thing, but it does seem conveniently coincidental...   I mean, they'd never make it on June 24th!   :P

I always thought it was weird, though...  but maybe that's why we only got new neighbors from Quebec in the summer

Late, but Happy C-Day to all as well.

I spent it having a BBQ with friends in my backyard, showing off my toy rooms (again), and then chilling with the "late comers" until late at night.

Oh, and I had 3 beers, sausage, burger, trifle, cake, and a great time. :-)

Children first!!!

The official reason was they didn't want to move children from schools to schools during the year. So, on July 1st school is finished for all... but sometimes, somewhere classes aren't always ended June 24th  :shifty:

Haha, I guess that is handy...  everybody has the day off, so no one has an excuse not to help you move!
