Sigma 6
« on: February 13, 2011, 05:22:13 PM »

Considering that I haven't watched any Gi Joe cartoons since the original ARAH,
or collected anything since about 1987, I have had some serious catching up to
do over the last month.
I have to say folks that I really like Gi Joe Sigma 6, the cartoon and toy line both.
The toys remind me enough of the original AT Joes from 1970-77 that I played
with and loved, and I think the cartoon is awesome. I also like anime, so that
could have something to do with it, but I think the action is awesome.
Anyone know where I might still be able to buy some of the toys in Toronto,
Pickering, Ajax????

I think Sigma 6 made me more excited about GI Joe than anything else since 1994. I loved the aesthetic, the play value, the accessories. I love how true the interpretations of the characters were compared to the new sculpt era that preceded Sigma 6 (Heavy Duty over Roadblock notwithstanding) and how original the concepts were compared to the 25th line that came after. The first season of the cartoon was very shaky, but the Lt Stone/Firefly traitor storyline of the second season was really fun to watch unfold.
