SnowHawk's column on Comic Book Daily
« on: June 22, 2011, 01:29:14 PM »

You may have noticed on some of my posts (or my signature) that I write for a website called Comic Book Daily (http://www.comicbookdaily.com).

The column I write is called "Knowing Is Half The Battle".  The website reports on everything in the realm of comic books.  The nice thing is I pretty much have free reign to write about whatever I want.  Since G.I. Joe is one of the biggest parts of my life, I focus a lot of columns on G.I. Joe.

I am going to post links to my CBD articles here, so fellow board members can find it easily.

The first one is my interview with Valentine DeLandro at CanJoeCon (2011).  I hope you enjoy.  This was my very first interview... ever.  I was very nervous, but Valentine is such a great guy, I started to forget I was interviewing him, we just started talking.

Thanks for taking a look.

This week's column for Comic Book Daily, I talk about Sneak-Peek's return to ARAH.  Larry did a great job on this issue, explaining his return.

Check out my column, because Larry answered a couple of my questions about the issue.

Has anybody read ARAH #169 yet?

There is some good Sneak-Peek stuff in that comic.  Larry Hama told me that a new SP story arc was about to begin, and #169 is where it starts.

SPOILER

Sneak-Peek is undercover posing as a Canadian.  Nice eh!

My latest article is available to read on Comic Book Daily. http://www.comicbookdaily.com/columns/knowing-is-half-the-battle/what-is-the-comic/

It is about "THE" comic that changed everything.  It could be the comic that got you hooked on comics, or the comic that changed your outlook on the world.

For me the comic was G.I. Joe #100.  It drastically changed how I played with G.I. Joe in those days.

Please check out my column and let me know what you think.

I have a new article up on Comic Book Daily.

This one is about a road trip to T.O./Mississauga to pick up some Joe and just look for toys.

Hope you enjoy.

Hey Everybody

As you know I write a column for Comic Book Daily.

Right now we are running a contest and you could win a copy of Green Lantern on Blu-Ray.

All you have to do is go to the contest page, Connect to CBD with Google Friend Connect, and in the comments below tell us who your favourite Green Lantern is.

It's that easy.  (Rules and stuff like that is on the contest page).

http://www.comicbookdaily.com/contest/giveaway-green-lantern-blu-ray-dvd-combo/

Hopefully someone from the boards wins this one.  I think it would be awesome.

My newest article is up for Comic Book Daily.

This week I do my year end review for the best and worst of 2011.

This week I focused on Joe Canuck's very own Jason Loo.  I picked up Jason's Awol'd volume 1 and 2 at Fan Expo.  His series is awesome.  I recommend everybody on the boards here to pick it up from him next time you see him.  It's one of my favourite comic finds for 2011.
