We at YoJoe are dedicated to bringing you access to all things G.I. Joe for the community, by the community. Today we would like to announce the  next step in bringing YoJoe into a new user experience with YoJoe-Pro.

YoJoe! Pro is a new and exciting collection management and buy-sell-trade platform fully integrated with the YoJoe archives and forums.

YoJoe! Pro is available in four different packages.

This membership level also allows for unlimited and free for-sale listings and only 0.99  cents / 2.5% fee per transaction. Also includes the ability to export your personal collection to Microsoft Excel (TM) for your own use. This plan also gives you access to set your collection photos to public to show off your items and a listing of recent sale prices on items. Package also includes 25 FREE sales/trades.

 Option 2 - $30.00/year - Same as option 1 but with 50 FREE sales/trades per year.

 Option 3 - $40.00/year - Same as option 1 but with 100 FREE sales/trades per year.

So, before I get the WTF comment... yes, I know, we are here on JoeCanuck, not Yojoe... but still, I wanted to know what you guys are thinking about this new formula? Interesting or not?

Right now, I'm not too sure about this. From what I can see, a seller will need to assume the 0.99  cents / 2.5% fee per transaction + Paypal fees... or will add this to his price. So it will look like eBay...

Stupid question here:

How will they know you made a sales transaction?  Are they going to read your PMs to find out?  I'm not a member at yojoe.com so I do not know.

I assume you would host your inventory on their site and buy through them, like an online store. I wondered the same thing. Seems hard to orchestrate.

If they read PM`s it would be a pretty big privacy problem and people would just switch from pm`s to personal email addy`s to conclude the sale to avoid those fees.

Also martin, while it has fees just like ebay, it doesn`t seem to be an auction format so unlike ebay, you would be assured of your price. And I assume your listing doesn`t expire...
Disappointed if the old FS threads aren`t used anymore. I`m sure we`ll see more signature links to private webpages if that is the case.

*sigh*

Read the entire thread. It gets explained more:

"You'll still be able to list B/S/T threads as before here for free. The Pro membership adds in the collection management features. You'll be able to keep track of the items you own, add pics of your own items, store information like condition, price paid, and date acquired. It's this feature that will then allow you to list an item for sale with just a few clicks. Alternatively, you can select that you're looking for an item, and search what's available in the marketplace. "

I also believe a link with your item for sale will automatically show up on that items page in their new archives. It's a solid idea and I actually plan to use it for some Harder to find items.

MUCH better than paying for a badge and larger signature image. You actually get something out of this and it helps you sell your extra items.

What I still don't get is... what if 100 persons have a Mutt helmet for sale. From what I understand, in the Archive, a link to every seller will show up. So, that's kind of weird... They will maybe put a limit on the number of sellers per item.

Maybe it's one link to click that shows you a screen with all items matching...?

I went through the Yojoe Pro system (free subscription) to ID my figs. I have 141 individual characters excluding:
  • Duplicate (army builders): I don't know how many yet
  • International (mostly from UK and India): 6
  • Customs: 14
  • Bootlegs (Black major): 16
It was easy to use, but few things would have to be improve to make me go to another subscription level, like:
  • We can't register international figs (yet).
  • We can't add the number of each fig we own.
  • The system doesn't make the difference on some variant like the 2002 Crimson Vs. Fuchia set and many other variant.
  • We can't go in details of what accessory we have for this fig.
So, overall an easy way to know what you have, if what you have is standard.

Martin - thanks for posting this info.  I have been meaning to sign up and upload my collection, but have been busy with work.

Question - can you put in figures not on the checklist?  Meaning, customs?  I have a number of ME customs of ARAH figures, so would I be able to enter those somehow?  I could also do the same for my Canadian sets.

Strangely, I asked someone at yojoe, why the Canadian sets were not there and he did not have an answer.  It is weird, I thought these were blessed in 2010 in Joe Declassified by yojoe, but were never put on the website.........

They were, someone has to submit them, and no one has yet.

Bringing back an old topic... http://www.joecanuck.com/jc/index.php?topic=4392.0 I think many people tried... and the last answers were positives. It looks like were are not far from the result. I think time is limited for everyone... but everything I read is positive.
