I wouldn't be surprised if these started showing up at Walmarts all over Ontario, in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah there are already auctions on Ebay from someone in Brampton and someone in Nova Scotia (don't bother though, they are both asking over $100 for EACH one).

I would say it is a safe bet they will start showing up around the country in the next few weeks.

Only interested in the Volcano Viper and a Tiger Claw to go with my Ferret collection.

General Joe Talk / Who's next? Who would you like to see updated?

So we finally got our Lowlight.  We also have a Sgt. Slaughter coming our way.  SWEET!!!!!!!!!!

So who do you want next?

Personally I would like to see them give us a few more drivers.

Covergirl to finish 1984 and Cross Country and a proper Cutter would be my first choices.

For Sale or Trade / Re: Vintage Joes for sale!

You have some interesting items, but your pricing seems high to me.  If it isn't moving, you might want to consider dropping your prices.

Another group that makes me laugh are the ones who claim their pricing includes their time, gas, etc.

If you are going to start using those factors to help justify high pricing, then go full out as a business.

ah thanks, Ill go after work.  Not sure if Ill get anything but for that price it makes good custom fodder.  Is tonite the last day?

Unknown, but doubtful.  I scooped up my Dragonhawk and Steel Crusher at the Kennedy/Sheppard today.  However they did not have the price cut posted so I had to scan the item to make sure.  So if you don't see the price tag marked down, double check at a scanner.

Double check you Walmarts.  I went to one that had the original pricing, but scanned the box and it came up with the sale price.  That is probably why they still had a Dragonhawk left.

Thanks to this sale I was able to grab:

Armored Panther
Sky Sweeper
Mantis
Snarler Cycle
Cobra Gunship
Dragonhawk
Steel Crusher

Sorry Stealth, it was the only one they had.

I always though I was reasonable. I know some online and toy show guys are really too high.

HEY!!!  NO DEALERS!!!!!

Please Hal, if I thought you were unreasonable I wouldn't have spent hundreds at your site.

I should have said this isn't meant to be a blanket statement for all, because of course there are exceptions to my generalization.

I've been doing some buying lately from shows and online.  It got me to thinking and examining the current "trends" in pricing for Joes.  Unfortunately there is only really Ebay, online stores and forums to compare.

I've noticed a trend towards a stubborn/unrealistic fixation on pricing.  Outside of individual collectors/fans who are selling at low prices to move stuff most others have settled on what I think is probably double to triple "realistic" pricing.  I notice it even moreso with Canadian sellers.  It seems like there is a belief that the fandom is bigger and more willing to spend than it really is.  I know with the TF fandom there is a bigger base to sell to and as such prices can swing to greater degrees, but the demand isn't there in our fandom and the pricing just doesn't reflect that.

Of course exclusives and "rare" items will always go for great prices, but the average items just seem to be priced too high.  I find it is actually more prevelant with 2000 and later items than with "vintage" items.

I understand that there is a desire to recoup costs for the online businesses, but a lot of them just seem to be pricing at amounts that don't move items ever.

Just my opinion, I'm sure there are others.  What do you guys think?

Why would you bother with them when Hal (Condor Knight) has the Resolute sets for a great price and he allows local pick up?

The lot of 4 HISS tanks complete or what you see in the Pic only?

Read the description.  Everything is complete toy-wise.  There is just some blueprints missing.
