For Sale or Trade / Movie vehicle toy lot (12 vehicles). $90
« on: May 05, 2010, 05:05:06 PM »
NEW UPDATE

Hey all,

Just have a lot of vehicles from the movie line that I am looking to part ways with.  All are complete with all parts and paperwork.  The figures are NOT included.  I'm asking $90CDN for the lot.  NOT including shipping.  If you want to pick it up locally (Toronto) that's good too.

Sorry, but I'm not looking to break it up unless the offer is really good.

I still can't get over how much that base they're working on is like the old cardboard Cobra Missile HQ set given full life in plastic form.

I get the feeling that it was done partly to cater to old school ARAH fans, and partly due to some of the guys involved working on JOE before.  They probably wanted to see the old Missile Command done right.

It was one of the Target exclusives with the Cobra Claw.

Horrible and lazy repaint by Hasbro.  A total fail of biblical proportions.

Agreed on the figure, but I actually really love the CLAW in black.

I'm a little concerned about this line.

Someone made a good point on another board that while great, the line has no set release date, distributor or even any actual "product" for display.  As a collector aimed line that means more options for distribution depending on their game plan, but with fewer "kid friendly" distribution lines (TRU, Target, Walmart) it may mean significant retail pricing.

As others have said, Low Light, Cobra Shock Trooper and Jungle Viper are must haves.  I also like the 2011 Snake Eyes.

In regards to the the vehicles, the "new" Ghost Hawk is growing on me and I love the new colours for the new HISS.  I also like the new colours on the Scout HISS.  I don't like the new VAMP at all and I was disappointed that there were no vehicles shown (even just art) for the RENEGADES show.  I like the notion that we will get classic vehicles that will be updated, but retain a lot of their original concept.

Sure:

Here is the SLAM

ALSO!!!  I forgot to mention that the TIGER PAW piece I am looking for is also the same colour on the regular release of the FERRET (black bumper piece) so either would be helpful.

Ok, toynewsi posted a video.

http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=15811

Thoughts:

Animation - weak.  For 2010 the CGI should be better.  The character designs in action actually look worse than the promotional shots.  As with Joe, the "troopers" look to be the best of the lot.  Although there is nothing wrong with neck snapping and killing............"In a cartoon!!  In a cartoon!!)

Toys - ?  The figures are a wait and see, but as I said before I prefer the 25th style.  The vehicles just keep getting better!!!!  The Missile Command base looks like it will fold up for easier storage!!!  The transport helicopter and figther jets look great!!  A nice combination of realistic and fantasy.

Can't wait to see what they have to show at SDCC and CanJoeCon.

Looks great, did they have a story about them posted or just Pics? I did not see it it was on that page.

All the current info was on that page.  They have a comic available at the con and showed a clip of the animation.  TNI is going to upload video footage of the animation sometime soon (I hope).  The little blurbs about the creators gives us some idea of the pedigree involved.

A new toyline in the 3 3/4" scale with O-ring figures.  Personally I would prefer newer style figures, but check out the figures, VEHICLE!!!! and MISSILE COMMAND BASE!!!!

The line is supposedly going to have animation and a comic that is being passed out at Joecon.

As someone said, it is surprising that they were allowed to be there since they would be a direct competitor.  Without a doubt I will be getting at least 2 of those transport helicopters for Cobra customs!!!

45 CAN works out to 6.42 a figure, which isn't bad as it's cheaper than a single pack.  But it's the shipping cost that will hurt.

Makes sense to buy them from Hal and pick them up at Canadian Joe Con (assuming Hal will be there).

There ya go Hal, now do I get an extra discount?

Don't bother with Hal!!!  All that guy does is help me out every time and sells me stuff at a good price with local pick up to save on shipping!!!  The bloody nerve!!!!

Hal all the way. Now I just need to get the cash together.
