The surgery went well, and fast.
It didn't seem as dramatic as ER...very casual and mundane. I had to walk to my operating room/bed, which I thought I'd be wheeled-in like the patients in ER. All I could remember was the anesthetic injection, me asking them, "How long would it take the drug to kick in?", and them answering, "Only a few seconds." I blinked and woke up about three hours after the surgery in another room, with an ice-pack over the 3" scar on my pelvis. Another hour later, I was discharged and wheeled out of the hospital. So I've been recovering at home ever since, watching my Superman cartoons on dvd and playing Smackdown on ps2. There's been a progression each day: day one (Wednesday after the surgery) - vomited all that anesthetics, day two (Thursday)- back to eating solids, and day three (Friday) - the cut has finally stopped bleeding, I think. In the next week, my goal is to stop walking like a sick old Gary Busey.
Again, thanks for your kind thoughts and I will guaran-damn-tee to see you guys again at the meet. It's awesome to have friends like you guys!
