Title: Sigma 6?
Post by: L'Ombrageux on September 15, 2005, 10:03:30 AM
Anyone have seen Sigma 6 stuff in retail outlets in and around Montreal? Is this line even coming to Canada?

Can't wait to get a Snake Eyes the old school way (from a peg in a store! hahaha)

Sigma six won't come to retail in Canada BUT our friends at legends just got a case, yup they have all three characters left Duke, Heavy Duty and Spirit.

Wait, what, no ninjas?  They were, but I bought em. I'm still wondering if I'll open them up of not, that packaging is cool.

Where did you get the info that it won't come to Canada? I was thinking with the cartoon here that we will see the toys show up soon.

What do they know? All their stock comes from buying what's at Wal-Mart, TRU, etc. and jacking up the prices.

Jin, before you make a statement like this, PLEASE make 100% sure that it is TRUE.

In this case, it is NOT true.

I know Steve and the boys, I've met them more than a few times.
They (like myself) deal direct with Hasbro and other companies.

You saying they purchase from 'major retail' and then 'jack up the price' is one of the things that can hurt a small business.

Walmart has what is called 'Buying power'. They purchase SO much, that they can afford to sell things approx. .25cents over cost. Smaller stores don't have that luxury, and have to pmakr things up $2.00 or $5.00 more than what you may see it for at 'major retail'.

Just becareful what you say before you say it.

As for Sigma Six NOT coming out in Canada, it's slated to NOT come out unless the line does well in the U.S. - this also from Hasbro - to me.

At Toy Fair in Toronto this past January, (a time when Hasbro Canada SHOULD be pushing new lines), there was NO mention of Sigma Six AT ALL.

Canada just doesn't get all the product that the U.S. does, so we should actually feel lucky that places like Legends, Outer Reaches, and myself can bring in stock from their U.S. counterparts.
Mike

Thanks
Mike

Cheap shots are hard to come buy, I miss being able to get a shot of vodka for 2$ at a night club

Actually, they do this, but only for things they can afford to order from Hasbro or other companies. This means Marvel Legends and Star Wars, mostly.

Their selection for GIJoe, Transformers, He-Man, etc. is too small to fill out orders directly from Hasbro or Mattel, so these are bought from Wal-Mart and such and resold for a few dollars higher.

*sigh*

I guess I should ask Steve to join so he can post his side then?
Jin, ALL product that is available from Hasbro CAN be ordered from them.
Please stop making things up without solid proof.

I KNOW for a FACT that they deal with Grand.

I've asked you once, now I'm asking you for a final time.
On THIS site, you don't make things up unless you know for a fact.

Man I really don't know where you've got that info. Legends don't by stuff at WM, Zellers or TRU. The deal directly with Hasbro, period.
