Can anyone recommend what head to use to make a Professor Appel custom?  I was thinking 1998 Brekhov ...the hair colour is wrong, but the face has some age in it.  All I want to do is put a new head on a Crimson Guard figure...I'm no good at painting or cutting.

The only Dr. Appel figure I found used a Chancellor Palpatine figure from the Star Wars prequels.

I found a 1992 General Flagg at the flea market today.  I've always thought the Chinese Major Bludd looked awesome, so I put a 2000 Bludd's head on the Flagg body.  The pants are green and of course not from the Lamprey mold, but it still resembles the Chinese Bludd overall.  Now what to do with the Flagg head?  I put it on a Crimson Guard (from the 6-pack) figure.  The hair colour is not the same, but he does look old enough to be Candy's father.  And really, the comic Appel looked old enough to be her grandfather.  Then I put the Crimson Guard head on the 2000 Bludd body, and now I have a Skull Squad grenadier!  3 custom figures with no previous experience...not bad for 5 minutes work   I might actually try "real" customizing at some point in the future...I have a Funskool Wild Bill that would make a good TV version after some paint is applied.
