Larry Hama and Herb Trimpe were there, that's as real GI JOE as it gets to me.

Only 25th, POC, ROC that I saw... that's real GI JOE too no?  ;D

To add to that, yes 5h4rk, there are also more tables that carry Joes this time. And there was a lot of POC too which was great.

You still have sunday (today) to go check it out. It's 15$ to go in but it's worth it and the 20th Century FOX team is there, with the Back to the Future Dolorian, If that can help anyone reconsider to attend the event.

It was great. I had a great time. I had never been to one and was surprised by how many people there were. I arrived around 10:30 and stayed until about 3pm. Unfortunately, I didn't bump into any JoeCanuckers.

I got Mr Hama and Mr Trimpe to sign my copies of Special Missions #17 and 28 (My favorite issues). Mr Hama also signed my MoC 25th wave 1 Snake Eyes. He was sketching in between autographs and offered up them up at 20$ a piece. I'm now the proud owner of a one-of-a-kind Larry Hama Snake Eyes sketch. It's already framed. It looks great on my wall. My only regret is I should have asked for a Storm Shadow as well. Oh well, maybe next year.  :)

As Latinjoe22 and SnakeEyesOnAPlane mentionned there are lots of Joes for sale. I saw some Resolute packs at 40$ and lots of PoC. I picked up a wave 2 Dusty for 8$ from Toys on Fire. He had all of wave 1 and 2 singles and wave 2 Bravos (Fury, Vamp). He also had Alley-Vipers, but at 25$ each, I skipped them.  :'(

Non-Joe stuff, there is the Delorian from Back-to-the-Future. It isn't the original from the movie, it's a fan made replica but it's very authentic looking. I got to see Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) from Star Wars and got to talk to Brent Spiner (Data) from Star Trek TNG. They were signing autographs for 35$ a pop. Elvira was there as well. I swear, she looks exactly the same as she did 25 years ago.  :) Of course, there were a lot of costumes. The red Spartan (from Halo) and several Stormtroopers, a Snowtrooper and a Biker scout, Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader were particularly impressive.

I recommend it to anyone who hasn't gone yet. I'll be there next year for sure.

Hey OB, I arrived at 5pm which is why we totally missed eachother. I was supposed to come with the family but we delayed and in the end, I ended up showing up by myself.

Today is round two for me.

By the way, I saw a dealer or two that were carrying the new POC Mech suits, Snowcat and Vamp if it can interest anyone.

Real G.I. Joe, eh?  No, I didn't see any 12 stuff with life-like hair and beard.  Get off my lawn!  Back in my day, Kung Fu Grip used to mean something!

The DeLorean was fantastic.  The crowds were bigger than they ever were before.  Damn, I didn't see that boxed VAMP or I'd have bought it on sight.  Also, to all you fellow Clutch fans out there, I asked Larry what the future holds for Clutch, and he answered "#161."

Oh, and Elvira's still got it.

Here's hoping for a Clutch and RnR reunion!  Great question asked.

I didn't end up taking a photo of me in the DeLorian because I had spent more than I wanted to, but I probably should have, what with my costume and all.

Doc Brown or Marty McFly? :)

Thanks!  Clutch is my favourite Joe character, so I just had to ask.  What with him showing in IDW #11, I thought there might be a chance of him making an appearance.  I hopy Larry keeps Clutch oldschool - those 2 panels of him interacting with Scarlett in G.I. Joe: Declassified made that series for me! ;D

Neither; I was the Vault Dweller from the first Fallout video game.  Though I guess if he'd traveled back in time to before the war, he would just have found out that "war never changes." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkBNKa2KXZE
