Sorry to go completely off topic....but are people still finding these DVD sets (1 & 2) on store shelves?  I haven't seen one around here since around Christmas time and no one ever re-stocked.

Still plenty of them at the 2 local TRU stores here.

You have to realize that 2 things needs to happen for us to get the other sets

1) Stores sell out of existing sets
2) Stores re-order from distribution.

If #1 happens but #2 doesn't - No new sets
If #1 doesn't happen - No new sets.

It's just the way business works. You can't blame Hasbro for this, rather the consumers not buying and therefore the stores not reordering.

I hope Zellers does pick up the Target stuff but I don't know that we can count on it. Hasbro has also told us DVD set #5 was coming out in Canada...ever see one at retail?  ::)

They told us it was coming out in Canada.... ONCE RETAILERS SOLD THROUGH EXISTING INVENTORY.

Which they haven't.

Which is why #5 isn't here.

No need to shout about it, I am very aware of the condition they implied. There's just a lot of information passed on by Hasbro  employees that never comes through for one reason or another.  Passing on misleading information in Q&As has happened a lot, obviously though it's not on purpose. The Q&As are the only lifeline to Hasbro I have, so I feel a bit let down when the information is misleading or conditional.

It's really just frustrating to see 100s of new Joe products on the shelves everywhere when some previous items will probably not be available for us.  This isn't new either, I've chased Hasbro products my entire life, and they just don't seem to turn up after X amount of time.

I realize that and I'm not blaming Hasbro for anything, except for robing me of all my disposable income!
I was just curious if these sets are still out there as I haven't seen one in months.

I've kinda had it with repaints and reissues.  My interest for the 25th line waned at the end to be honest.

They definitely gave us a lot of time to lose interest. Most of this year I spent collecting vintage stuff waiting on new products.

I don't know where I was in the past few days, but I didn't see that coming:

http://item.taobao.com/auction/item_detail-db1-b0d0b7c102d62ec57bad2642dcc00bfb.htm

Do you think it will be a new tendency, I mean making box with old and new sculpt together?

Martin

Do we have a release date on these yet??

General Hawk: Technically, G.I. Joe does not exist, but if it did, it\'d be comprised of the top men and women from the top military units in the world, the alpha dog\'s. When all else fails, we don\'t.
