New GI JOE guide book
« on: June 16, 2005, 07:07:34 PM »

Just picked up the new GI Joe guide book from Mike today.  The thing is amazing.  I hope you can get more in Mike.  Every Joe collector should have one.

Just a side note:  Mike wasn't kidding about the new series of classic wrestlers when he said they were awsome.  I'm saving up for the Road warriors

It's freakin awesome. I can't get enough of it.

So what is in this book to make it worth my while.  It's not like I need to hunt down any more old figures, unless somebody digs up another Steel Brigade variant.

For you - nothing I don't think.

For someone like Metro.... or Raptor.... or No Name, it would be extremely useful in matching up parts, weapons, etc.

The only thing I can think of for you in this book Pete is the Vehicles. ALL the detail in full color on the vehicles is just amazing.

I'm sure I'll FINALLY get to those 18 boxes of parts in the back room now that I have this book..... it's easier to use than yojoe.com!

I think this book should be in any toy library, despite the level of experience. Great reference books like this don't come along too often and it's always nice to support authors who are actively involved in the community.

Plus, the forward by Larry Hama is a nice treat and there's a lot of neat character info, mostly taken from some of the proto dossiers, that accompany each character description.

I consider myself pretty experienced and i'm totally glad i bought it. It's a great book.

pete, think about picking it up...there are several tidbits of info in there. several of the figure descriptions include info from hama's original file cards. this is by far the best guidebook out there ive ever seen...period.

if i have to, ill buy one and mail to you cheap skate!!
