Joe hunt in the States
« on: February 07, 2010, 02:19:29 PM »

A few weeks back I was in the States and came across the Target Past/Present set and also saw the Rescue Mission Exclusive four pack and they had a ton of them on clearance for $9.99.  Which were sold out the next trip back to Target.  A trip to Zellers produced a ton of  Rescue Mission Exclusive four packs but for regular price-$34.99.  The US Rino's are now on clearance for $34.99.
Canadian stores are going to blow it for us to get future exclusives because of the price difference and over stock.
This past week I ventured to Walmart once I found that the Battle set exclusives weren't going to be available here.  But everywhere I looked they didn't have them or never even received them.  This was disappointing because I bought the Cobra Surveillance set for $23US including shipping off Ebay, it's a cool set and I wouldn't mind a couple of the other ones.
After Walmart I went to Toys R Us and was presently surprised that the Sting Raider Exclusive(Moccasin)repaint was available ($19.99) and the two new single figure exclusives were out; Arctic Doc and Arctic Shipwreck($7.99).  The front package has Rise Of Cobra and the back has a Pursuit of Cobra tie in.
the US website has the Doc and the Sting  Raider up for sale as well.
Also, some K-Mart stores have the Rise Of Cobra Exclusive 4 packs(Desert ambush Duke, Heavyduty and a brown Neo Viper and IG figure) for sale $20.00
So my trip was somewhat fruitful.

So are the new TRU exclusives available in Canada?

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.

I looked in St. Catharines on Friday they didn't have any and the fella I asked wasn't sure if they are getting them.  But I think Hasbro Canada did say our TRU was on board for the exclusives at least the figures.  Maybe someone else can substantiate this?

the Walmart sets are pretty much gone now, as they were clearance for $7.50. I manged to pick on the Missile set before Christmas, and then the Outpost Defender set on clearance in January.

Lots of markdowns at my target.  The rhino is now $24.98 and the pit is $49.99.  Possible they might go 75% off soon.  Just have to be there at the right time when they do mark them down that low.

I never did get the red logo trooper so if anyone sees one on the cheap, I could use one.
