Customs / Cobra Decals/Stickers or Symbols needed.
« on: September 28, 2009, 07:00:26 PM »
Hi,

I'm making a custom Cobra Commander Transformer out of a Marvel/TF Thor. It wasn't my own idea as I saw someone else do it on a website someplace. However it looked like something I could do. I've started with all the blue painting, then I'll move on to the head. I thought I'd follow up with some decals or stickers but I'm having trouble finding a Cobra Rattler symbol. I know I saw a whole site devoted to Cobra symbols and variations and I was wondering if anyone either knew of the site or just happened to have a decent picture for me to look at?

The ones on the list I liked were Star Trek, Up, and the Proposal. I'm glad GIJOE made the cut though. I enjoyed that. I'd put District 9 on there. It was awesome. Transformers....ugh. I still love the brand but I'm done with the movies should they make any more.

I used to collect Mego's. I still would but I have (most) all the ones I wanted so I stopped. One thing that really helped me was Dr. Mego. A website where you could get reproduction accessories and capes etc. I don't really care if mine are 100% original or not and if I ever sell them (which I wont) I will make note as to what is repro and what isn't. But as a whole I'm satisfied because my Mego's look complete and not like beat up toys from the 70's.

So in this case, I think its cool they're making fake Cobra soldiers so long as they don't pass them off as real. Also they can make some new color schemes and such that Hasbro couldn't do.

General Joe Talk / Re: What's the first Joe Toy you ever owned?

Although not my first figure by any means, I remember the day I got Duke because that was the day of the big tornado in Barrie. We were...I think in Toronto that day (I cannot remember for sure on that but I know it wasn't Brantford) and I found Duke at this huge department store as well as a few Constructicons. I remember the weather was really bad where we were too and us driving home in some crazy wind storm and me holding Duke for dear life. My brother broke one of the Constructicons in the car that day...we had to glue one of the legs back on.

15 bucks! Great deal!! I should have waited to get the Joe set after all. I'm tempted to get another cobra set for customs.

My first was Destro. My mom had a nack for picking out the really cool characters. She also got me Skeletor and Skywarp.

We just had as of a few days back the batch with Cobra Commander and Paris Snake Eyes. It was nice to pick up this wave for so cheap. I wish Joes were always 5 bucks. I remember about 4 months ago when Transformers were about 8 bucks (normally 15 bucks). That was a great sale. I cleaned up.

Here I was all excited that I finally found Paris Snake Eyes and Scarlet in the black outfit. I really want to get Helix. Especially after reading her comic.

I made my own using a camo Scarlet body and the head of Lady Jaye with the black baseball hat. She looks cool.
