If this were 15 years ago. I'd buy 2 of everything, back when there were no kids or wife. haha.
Real shame if this fails. It is pretty specific to needing a USS Flagg.
I wonder if the timing is just off on this kickstarter.
Could be timing. Could be, as you said, it is fairly niche for collectors. If you don't have a Flagg, or a set up for naval vehicles/characters, then you have to really love O-Ring figures to get in.
Also I just watched an interview with Brain Flynn (head of Super7) and he mentioned that they have noticed a slow down in buying in the toy collector market (which they cater to) since last year. Could be people are finally at that point where money is a bit tight, and prices are getting too high, so they have to make choices and kickstarters may not be high on the list anymore.
But in the end, who knows for sure. Either this will make it, or it won't.
