I haven't been on the internet toys sites much as of late so I might be a bit slow in mentioning this but I just heard about this:

This is very cool for me. I'm a fan of Call of Duty and I always liked the design of Halo Megablocks. These look even better with articulation in the arms and just a better load when it comes to gear.
Kreo-s just lost their appeal to me. I'm more interested in CoD and trying to customize those.

screw mega bloks, i want a COD 3.34in line! jees, they could do about 30 figures from Modern Warfare alone, without getting into multiple iterations of characters (Crew Expendable Price, Blackout Price, Prisoner #627 Price, Russian Disguise Price, Arctic Camo Price, Ghillie Suit Price, Desert Camo Price, Off-the-grid Price, Juggernaut Suit Price etc.)
it's a cash cow waiting to be milked!!!

I'd like to make a comment about building blocks in general. The blocks themselves actually. They used to make the blocks in a universal way that would leave you room for imagination to build just about anything. Nowadays I'm seeing that blocks are more specifically designed to the set and dictate a specific purpose.

This is true. Even with my 6 year old - we set aside the sets and the creative building is done with the mixed older sets and new random Lego bricks.

I saw these in Walmart on the weekend. Very fun toys.

To me the purpose and the fun of a building toy like lego or mega-blocks or kree-o is actually building the toy. It looks like you could slap together the light armor vehicle in 6 min. Not a lot of enjoyment for 40$.

It took me more then that to put together the snowmobile set and it kept me company when I was on my own in Florida.
It's not for everyone. I enjoyed them more then the Kreo GI Joe sets I own and the action figures blow away and lego sized brick figure I've ever had the change to handle and that included the excellent Marvel figures that were out a few years ago.
I'd like to buy the chopper strike set and battle dome sets the most but honestly they all look decent to me.
I don't see a lot of resale for these down the road so when I buy these I have no expectations that they will be collectible and gather value in the future. It's just a nice distraction sort of toy and I don't feel the need to own them all.

I have the littlebird chopper and it's pretty cool.
I really like those mini figures.

TRU Cyber Monday deal. BOGO on all Megabloks. That should include the CoD stuff.

well, in 14 years of retail work i never saw it called 'buy one, get one'. it was always BOGOF. and contrary to the wiki article, we did have posters and other POS labelling it 'BOGOF'...

It's common to see a BOGO commercial in Canada.
