Comic and RPG's clean sweeping
« on: September 21, 2008, 09:10:07 AM »

So Mrs.Fish and I are cleansweeping two of our downstairs rooms to make a playroom for the little fish.  I've run into a problem.  I'm trying to thin out my comic book and RPG collection but really have no idea what to do with it or where to get rid of it.  There's only one comic store here and one RPG store so they are out.  Does anyone know if there's any place between Hamilton and the GTA that might?

Thanks guys!

You have a collection of Rocket Propelled Grenades???

Seriously, Ebay, or here on the boards are your best bet.  The question is what do you have, and is it worth anything to the people in those respective hobbies?

Ebay is great for harder to find/rare stuff, but more common stuff won't go for very much.  I would say break down what you have, and if you know it is more highly sought after then go with Ebay, if not, try selling on the boards.

Just remember that the more common the item, the less likely you will get "retail" for it.

HHHmmmm...don't have a complete list but off the top of my head:
1st and 2nd edition D&D books (good shape)
Large stack of Dragon magazines (late 80's through the 90's)
Ton of Shadowrun stuff (1st ed through 3rd)

I can get you a more complete list if your intersted.

D'oh!!! Sry!  I just realized that I should have posted this in the for sale/trades section.  Wasn't really looking for buyers, just wanted some advice.  Mods can you move please?

Thanks

Sweet.

If you still want advice on where to unload them, Used Book Stores will usually buy them, albeit at a low, LOW price.  I'm talking $.25 a book, if you're lucky.
