USA vs Canadian Pricing... WTH
« on: August 27, 2010, 10:44:17 PM »

UPDATE: No need to read any further disregard... the mystery has been solved...

Hey Guys,

With all of this talk about POC, I have been interested in picking up a few figs for my collection, although I normally stick to ARAH. So the other day I was in Walmart in Ottawa and was checking for Transformers and noticed that they had the first wave of POC.

I picked up the Alley Viper and thought he was amazing, but I quickly put him back when I seen that he was $12.xx (close to $13).

When did a single GI JOE figure becomes that much? its almost $3 more than a Star Wars figure. Its crazy.

Anyways, today I was Watertown, NY looking for stuff, and both Target and Walmart are selling joes for $6.99 USD. Now I know there is a tiny bit of an exchange rate, but basically the Canadian price is double that of the American one....

WTH?

Why is your walmart charging $13 for it?  Did you scan it to make sure it was not mislabled?  Every other Walmart in Canada has been charging $7.92 for PoC.

What Bandonov said. They should be just under $8.00

Actually, I'm glad he posted this - Walmart (and other stores) should be up to date on the pricing tags on their pegs. There's no reason they can't update them the day they go on sale, or change prices.

It just goes to show people - be sure to scan an item before walking away. Thanks for the post freak! ;)
