I was totally shocked to see this. I've been away from the boards for a few days and I come back to see all this commotion. 8 pages on joecustoms.

If this is the direction Hasbro wants or feels it needs to take with joes, then this is what they'll do. Of course, collectors won't agree.

The 3 3/4" figures will be back in a couple years. This is G.I. Joe Extreme all over again. With the Transformers: Cybertron also looking very disappointing, I think I'll be buying some Marvel Legends. (Bullseye, Taskmaster, Rhino... Deadpool needs hie enemies!)

Hasbro may stop making new Joes, but they can't take away the Joes I already have, so I'm not too sad about this.

Yes, the new comic sets (Serpentor, Stormshadow, and Destro sets) ARE still coming.  Then we're just not getting anymore of them after that...   :x

That really sucks.  For the most part, the Joe stuff coming out now is really good.  Maybe this is what happens after you constantly keep revamping, retooling and reorganizing a toy line that needs none of that.  I'm on the band wagon that says F U Hasbro.  If you had a clue how to market your own product, this wouldn't be a problem.

Yah they should probably have tried, oh I don't know, a couple commercials, or actually having proper distribution.

Last time I talked to Brain Savage, he was a little worried because things were up in the air with GI Joe because of Darryl DePriest leaving to go to the Star Wars line.  But I think the Collectors' Club will still continue with 3 3/4 and 12" exclusives because that is the core of the collectors and Brian had mentioned after the last convention how much 3 3/4 collectors' interest had grown in the past few years.  It's too bad Hasbro doesn't seem to see it that way.  Also, it would be nice if the reps. at Hasbro Canada would return phone calls once in a while.

:shifty:

I'm obviously a tad pissed at Hasbro after FINALLY getting a solid source to get 'new' Joes from.

man... Hasbro doesnt care, if they did we'd still have new joes on the pegs besides peg warmers.

We might even have those 12 inch soldiers too on regular retail! heck if they actually cared they wouldn't sacrifice classic joe and 3 3/4 joe for those anime buffed up real cloth pants wearing dudes!

I mean sure their main target is kids BUT kids don't play with action figures they play video games!

Actually, they play with both.

A few guys on this board can attest to seeing kids buying Joes in my store...... heck, my nephew has a 120 figure Joe collection - and he's only 8!

Mind you, having an uncle that owns a toy store is a major plus in that area. :-)

I was only speaking about what I saw. I don't know many kids and most play with video games... or bionicles :)
