Hi just wondering if any of you like to army build? and what do you like to army build?

I'm done building my 1986 vipers I have an army of 24 all with guns now I'm trying to build an army of Head Hunters and other Cobra forces.

I do, I have 70+ iron grenadiers V1 and about 45 Targets V1. I found this easy when I was trying to finish my collection, now that I have completed it I find myself not really into it anymore.

I also have

20+ Bats V1
15+ CG V1
20+ Vipers V1
20+ Cobrs Soldiers V1

and I went over board with the Cobra Soldiers 6 packs and have 100+ of them...the soldiers that is...

the only problem I have with army building is that it just gets to expensive.

it sounds like that you have a kickass army would you mind if I asked you to take some pics I'll take some of my army and post them up here.

I had some pictures of my stuff before I moved. Right now everything is boxed as my new (new to me) house is getting a complete renovation. When its done (llate aug. I hope) I will have a 11 by 16 foot den for all my stuff...............but then I am doing hardwood shelves so I am not sure how long that will take either..........the long short could be a year before I am set up again!

I have alot of other army builders as well, just in lower number than 20............I went crazy during that craze IMO>.........

I army build in groups of 3, 6 or 9. Generally a specialist group will only get 3 (techno vipers) or 6,  (televipers)

I have 9 Iron Grenadiers and 9 of the new CG's as elite troops. I went with 18 blueshirts, 18 night watch and 18 CSG's as regular troops. When I make a custom army builder, I try to do it in 9's. 

I went the whole "9" yards and picked up a total of 27 Vipers mixing the 3 originals I had with a few TRU 6 packs.

I like the look of a 3X3 square of figures. It also looks good on the Ikea display shelves I use.

I love looking at the giant troop builder armies, but that kind of building isn't right for my own income and living space. I think that the numbers that I am working with are perfect for a reasonable sized dio.

it took 2 years for me to get 4 86 vipers I got lucky a guy on another board sold me 15 vipers of $109 all with guns too. I'm still working on my other armys that will be a while before I get my other cobra forces built.

Yes, I army build.    But I think I have way too many of them for what I need. 

15 v1 Vipers for 109?  That is 7.26 a figure.  Good deal.  But man, the new Viper Pit sets have lowered the prices of the V1 Vipers.  I got 20 of them for about 9 bucks a pop in December.

I don't think I've ever really army built in the traditional sense. I've only bought figures based on setting up support units or to man vehicles/playsets. Outside of those two collecting realms I haven't done much buying just to build a cobra army.

I can't really recall the last time I bought an army builder type of figure to be honest.

I am still waiting for my 7 viper 6 packs from HQ...he said he sent them last week so I should not be waiting long now!

15 packs and kind of regretting it.  I had no idea the V1 prices were going to drop that bad.  I rather go after those as they have no druppy head syndrome and no fragile crotch problems to worry about.

I can show you how to do the mods on them to fix droopy head and fragile crotch syndrome, but I can't imagine doing it for all 90 of them...
