Display Tips

When you show your figures on display, do you always attach their accessories?  I'm worried their hands will stretch.  I'm tempted to bag them in a small Zip-Lock with filecard and accessories.

Yes, I always put as much of their gear on as I can.

All of my figures have as much gear as possible, sadly I think this stretches their hands and peg holes, as I am finding the longer I have the accessories attached the harder it is for them to stand with/hold them

Thanks for the responses.

I am at a cross-roads.  I have had to pull down my display shelves while we get ready to get a heated, stamped floor poured in my basement.  Either I will be selling the bulk of the collection or it will take a prominent spot in my man-cave once the basement is done.

I wasn't sure if I want to make a display for all the figs to stand up in or tag them in baggies on a board.  I think I have about 600 figures, but am trying to count them now as I move them.

Keep only what you want.
I've thinned out my collection 6 times in the last 3 years. And I'm considering it again.

Oh, and sell me the rest of the stuff you don't want. ;-)

I am more worried about cracks or broken thumbs with the older figures, especially the straight armed ones.

Speaking of displays, has anybody ordered one of the APEX display case from Smalljoes?  I am tempted to get one to see if they fit nicely in the two BHT display cases.

I was very tempted by them pete, until I realized that 2 would cost me a hundred US with shipping. No offense, but for the cost of 3 of those things, you can get an Ikea display that's bigger and nicer.

Like this one :

I've found a way to put 200 figures into ONE of these cases. (20 figures per shelf)

All it takes is some 1inch wood, paint, and time. ;-)

Mike - did you set that shelf into your wall or is it simply hanging on your wall.  I know I have seen them in person but I don't remember and I am planning on picking one up for the exact same purpose.

The images always make them look "inserted" into the wall - but but they're just mounted ON the wall - stick out about 6 inches.

Hmmm, Never thought about stacking them like that. I like it.

I'm going to have to steal that idea Mike. Maybe in the summer I'll get around to it.

First Raps steals my idea to use these for Joes, my buddy Sean steals my idea for a Boba Fett case (his is Vader), now you steal my idea for stacking!  ;D

Glad to help! ;-)
