Mark Bellomo will once again be in attendance at the 2009 Canadian G.I. Joe Convention!

He has written over 150 articles for such publications as ToyFare, Lee's Toy Review, Tomart's Action Figure Digest, and most recently for Toy Shop Magazine, where he served a lengthy tenure as their Action Figure Columnist.
Mark has also authored a number of books on the hobby of action figure collecting: Warman's Action Figure Field Guide, Transformers: Identification & Price Guide, Warman's Field Guide to Transformers, and Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe: 1982-1998.
He is currently at work on the following books: the second edition of The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe: 1982-1994 (April 22, 2009 release), Timeless Toys of the 1980's (Christmas 2009), The Vintage Star Wars Identification & Price Guide (Spring 2010), and The Ultimate Guide to He-Man, She-Ra, and the Masters of the Universe (Summer 2010).

Cool. With the second book set for release a few weeks before the con, he should have some to sell.
I know I'll buy one!
-
sweet news. I'll get one for sure.
-
I will be sure buying one, I read his other book from cover to cover as if it was a novel.

I like Mark. He's a great guy and I have no problem supporting him and buying his books. They are a great read and you can see the love he has for the product with the quality of his layouts. I'll buy a new book from the man.

I'm glad Mark is coming back. Maybe this year I will meet him and chat.
I'll admit, I didn't know this guy from Adam and I was hesitant to drop the bills for the first edition Reference Guide he had. Everyone was lining up for Larry Hama and poor Mark was on his own.
I've heard the 2nd edition has some major improvements and I do plan to purchase it this time around. Sorry we didn't get to chat the first time Mark!

Mark was very cool and a really nice guy. We talked joes and other toys for a bit, how he got into writing, and he even gave me a Batman HC graphic novel. I'll gladly support whatever he's pimping this year. nice going on securing him again Mike!!!

Meeting Mark Bellomo was one of the highlights of last year's Joe Meet. Anyone that doesn't own his Gi joe reference book should pick one copy of it for themselves. The pictures and the comments in it are absolutely priceless.

Does anyone know what content will be in the new book? Is it a revision of his first book or all new material?
-
killer news he was great to shoot the s**t with.

As far as I know it's an update with new content added.
Mark should be made an honorary Canucker because he is one great and passionate collector.
