I knew he'd do it! I was hoping for it back in october -

Back in October, there were no plans to ask Larry to do it. It was a thought in the back of my head - but I didn't think he'd be interested. I was (happily) wrong. ;-)

I asked him last month.

It just seemed a little to wired that it was sold out within in seconds. I was there clicking refresh and then at 6pm it was sold out.

I guess I will be there early to get the figure

Was that ever fast I waited until exactly 6 and hit the link and it was instantly sold out. Urgh guess I won't be getting one either. :-[

Now that the figure is sold out any chance on telling us what parts were used for the rest of the figure so we can make our own? I know for sure that the head is lamprey, the cheat is the techno viper and the arms are mavericks.

39 seconds and they were all sold out.

When someone "adds" something to the cart, it's placed on "hold" until you check out. That's all that happened. It took 39 seconds for people to ADD it, then fill out the info and check out.

15 left - get to the meet early and get in line!

On the plus side.... you can line up INSIDE this year!

Oh, and Snake8, the filecard is more important than the figure this year in my eyes. ;-)

Maybe some of the people that GOT one on the pre-order can post to confirm?

Me too.  Same deal.  Sold out at 6:00.  Less than 39 seconds between refreshes though...
Could someone have put more than one in their cart?

PLEASE read my post above.
When someone clicks ADD ITEM, it removes it from the site and is SAVED for the person ordering until they complete the order.

You can hit reload all day - but unless someone "removed" the item from their cart, or they closed their browser - it was saved for them the second they clicked ADD.

Here is one of the completed orders. With personal info blacked out.

The site was pre-set to launch that page at 6pm EST. (4PM MDT)

There are still 15 remaining. Sadly, not everyone that wants one WILL get one.
Next year it will be limited to 50 figures - perhaps more if I can acquire more of them.
I'm looking into it.

Would you guys of preferred no pre-booking for figures at all and just taken your chances arriving early? Please, tell me. Because until last night, I still wasn't sure on what to do.

All I have to say is thank you Mike!  (And my 1 year old for behaving as I refreshed for 5 minutes).

I think that was clear.  Everyone understood that before.

Doesn't matter to me.  Seems like this was more luck and arriving early is more of a committment from people. Either way.
I don't think anyone questions your choice - everyone had a shot.  Thanks for doing it at all!  It's appeciated!

na mike that was perfect (though it didn't end up perfect for me, meh what can i say, i'll have more $$ now to spend at the show, right)

that gives people the opportunity to get a figure IF they can't make it there first thing in the morning (like if they have a girlfriend/wife that just doesn't understand WHY they have to be there BEFORE it opens LOL)

I love the how this was done, as i didn't wanna get my god son excited about the 'special figure' unless i knew i could get one for him. Now i know if he wants one we have to get up early and go early, it's his choice. IF we woulda got a pre-order, it would have been nice to know i could sleep in a bit on the day and not have to try and rush to hamilton just to try and get a figure.

Kodo Mike, i think you gave two options for people to get a figure, which is more then one, right LOL. That was perfect and fair to everyone.
