Anyone free for an improptu Montreal JoeFan meet-up with meertoh?

Ah nuts! I've just seen this and I left on the 7th, I would have enjoyed that! :(

I had a great time in Montreal, I enjoyed the easy going atmosphere.
Got a nice haul and a good chat with Steve in Toy Wars and a few nice loose figures from the "3 for $10" box in Legends.

Visited the Irish Exhibit in the McCord Museum, Mont Royal and the Old City and Port, didn't really go near any of the shopping malls.

Apart from a ton of  :timbits:, I ate a delicious Poutine in La Banquise Resto on Rue Rachel Est, some nice fresh Bagels from St-Viateur and the meatapocalypse that is The Duffy Burger in Le Vieux Dublin.
I was also delighted to find proper Canada Dry Ginger Ale, they stopped selling it here years ago!

I had no reason to shout any expletitives except when I had to go home, I'll need to stay longer next time.

Thanks again for the info, lads!
I'm going in the morning, have a French phrasebook to read on the plane, hopefully I'll reactivate some neglected language containing braincells.

My brother tells me to try some Poutine and shout out "Tabarnak!"  ;D

Hope you enjoyed your St. Paddy's Day!

I took it easy, but went out the night before and drowned the poor shamrock.

Thanks a million for the info, guys!
I'll try to get to them all.
I'm really looking forward to my visit, it's only two weeks away now!

Is there any sights you could recommend?

Hi,

I'm visiting friends in Montréal for the first week of April, and will be staying on Nuns Island.

Could any of you please recommend anywhere nearby that stocks Joes or  :timbits:

Thanks,
Martin

Today I saw a guy with a canadian flag patch on his rucksack, I should have checked if he was genuine. :shifty:

General Joe Talk / Action Force Zartan

Zartan was released twice under the Action Force name, first in 1985 with the Palitoy packaging and again in 1987 by Hasbro in the Joe style box.

I think in 1987 Hasbro only used Action Force for the toys released in the UK and Ireland and used GI Joe for the rest of Europe.
