General Joe Talk / Canadian Joe Packing in for a Change?

Hey Guys,

just read over on cyberton.ca (http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=12880) that the Canadian packaging for Transformers universe is in for a change. No longer will there be generic cards, each transformer will finally get their correct card (i.e. art work). any word if this will be hitting Joe packaging any time soon?

Maybe this should be submitted as one of the Joe Canuck questions this month.

I know I would certainly start to buy Canadian carded Joes if they had the art work that we all know and love.

Off Topic / Indiana Jones Toys on Clearance @ Walmart

Was at a local walmart a few days ago, most of the Indiana Jones toys were on clearance. Vehicles were down to $5. Figured I'd pass this along, since the stuff is in scale with GI Joe. I've seen people customize it before...

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to do a quick post on my Black Friday experience. Wife and I headed to Watertown, New York @ 3:45am, made it there at 5:45, missed the Walmart opening, and really glad I did, as it was craziness there, headed towards target for their opening at 6am.

As soon as I went in the door, first thing I say was 5 Ultimate GI Joe Battle Packs, It was cool to see, but I passed on it. Only thing I wanted from that was to Mobat, but with the economy like it is and the exchange rate, the $63 price tag was just too much.

As for Joe scores, both walmarts I hit, only had the usual figures warming the pegs, so didn't find anything there. However I later went to Kohls, and was able to find Mutt w/ Junk yard and Croc Master and they were on sale for $6.69.. not bad, since they usually sell them for $9.99.

Also hit one jackpot. my wife found me a Firebat at the Super Walmart near Fort Drum.

Over all it was a pretty good day, but the people there were crazy, not for the timid shopper...

just curious, has anyone seen any American carded joes around lately? I know when joes first started to hit the market here in Canada, people mentioned spotting them, just wondering if that is still happening?

Hey Guys,

Here is a picture of the stuff I scored while on vacation last week. My wife and drove to Syacruse to catch a flight to Orlando. Hit a bunch of Targets and Walmarts, and even two TRU's. Didn't find a whole lot, but did come home with some nice stuff. I had a budget of $200 for my stuff.. only spent around $110 or so... I think I did pretty good..



I almost had a heart attack when I stumbled across the Rattler... it was the only one left on the shelf, and it was the last target I got to check before heading home to Ottawa...

Hey Guys,

Just got back from Disney World last week. During my trip to the states I was able to finally pick up a Major Bludd. Anyways found a second one, figured I would bring it back to Canada, to see if anyone was interested in trading for it. Almost had a BATS as well, but just missed out on it.

anyways. I have a MOC Major Bludd up for trade, I'll try and get a picture up later.

I don't have a wants list thrown together as of yet, but basically only looking for MOC American Carded 25a figures.

Items Wanted / LF: 25A Cobra Logo w/ Sound

Hey,

I'm just curious if anyone has an extra 25a Cobra logo that plays the Cobra theme song from the movie. I was able to pick up the GI Joe one with one of the original 25a- 5 pack sets, and never got around to getting the second cobra set, but would still love one Logos for my collection.

General Joe Talk / Online Retailers for 25A Joes?

Hey,

Can anyone recommend a good online retailer that isn't charging and arm and a leg for the 25A figures?

I'm having real big problems find these figures, even with frequent trips to the USA. I'm afraid I'm gonna miss out on some sweet figures.

Figured I would create a Ottawa Sightings thread, like they have over at snowtroopers.ca (Canadian Star Wars Site).

If anyone has any GI Joe sightings to report from the O-Town area, lets post them here.

If you can, make sure you post the name of the store, date and time you saw them, and if they were Canadian or American based cards.
