Silver Snail Comics Toronto

I HAD been going to Silver Snail for close to 30 years when something in the store not too long ago changed that forever.

One day I was in the store looking around like I always did, and having

a good time looking at all the cool toys etc. This particular day I couldn't

find what I was looking for, so I asked the store employee working in the

back area on the main floor for some assistance. His response.........

I don't know. That's it, period. So, I walked up to the front cash, and to my

immense astonishment, the "ALL MIGHTY STORE OWNER" himself was

behind the counter. I thought great, now I will surely get my answer.

Guess what?????? He looked at me, didn't answer, and then just turned

his back to me. I could not believe it. After coming to the store for SO LONG, and giving them so much business over the years, this is how I,

a customer of long standing was treated. You know what folks. This is

how everyone is now treated. The owner how zero interest in customer

service, and only wants your money. I have gone back in a couple of times just to observe, and I have seen this same type of treatment done

to many other customers as well.

On top of all this, if you are a toy collector, you DO NOT want to buy your

action figures etc from Silver Snail. Not only do they put their price sticker

right on the plastic view bubble, which screws up the potential value, never mind the overall view of the toy, but they also charge $5-10 more

for the same products that you can buy at Toys R Us, Wal-mart, Zellers and other comic book stores in the downtown area.

Do yourself a favour dear customer, and do your business somwhere

else where they actually give a damn about their customers, and not

just your money.

I don't live in the Toronto area, so I have never been to their store. However, last year they set up a table at the last Canadian Joe Convention and there prices were amazing and they were very pleasant for me to deal with.

I know I wasn't in the store, but at the CJC they were bringing their A game.

I probably went back to their both half a dozen times and just kept buying more.

I'm sorry you had a bad transaction with them but I feel it's only fair to give another honest opinion of them.

Hey Dale - where would you like them to put the price sticker?.... A little peanut butter oil on your finger can remove the entire sticker residue easy.

I'm with Morg on this... I have gone to there store a few times when I worked out our Downtown studios, and had no issues with them.  The store is always to busy.  I spent half my money at the CJC at there table.  I think I went 3 or 4 times to there table, as I could not fit anymore in my bag and had to dump them in my friends van.  Try to give them a second chance, you will not be disappointed by them at the CJC...
