You should bring enought $$ to buy some of the goodies that I'll be selling...Like brownies and cupcakes.

Sorry dear, I need to watch the waistline. Especially now that I'm unemployed again, and simply not moving as much.  :shifty:

Well, my lunch "date" is official, and with my parents going to Mont Tremblant for the weekend, looks like I'll either have to struggle my way through the metro or ask one of you guys with a driver's liscence and a car to pick me up......  :?
Since it's just lunch and very little more, shouldn't take more than an hour.

About the printing service... What kind of files can he print?  Does he take Freehand files or will he accept an EPS?

Jay, I just noticed the Goldorak lyrics in your signature

That's because I just put them in my sig, like, an hour ago.

After the Dawson shooting, I just can't help but wonder what I could've done, especially since I was at Atwater Station JUST as the shootings had begun... All I can think is that I was raised idolizing heroes like Actarus, Albator, Superman, Batman, the people who did the right thing... would I have done the right thing, no matter how foolish or dangerous to my life it would've been, if I would've known about the shooting ahead of it happening? I don't know why, but it just drove me to listen to the old Goldorak theme songs, and I decided to put those lyrics in my sig on most of the boards I frequent.

Yeah, I'm weird.  :shifty:

Actarus or Duke Fleed for those who watched the original japanese or english version was indeed heroic. He was the best. A true model to follow as a kid. he was cool no maytter what the Vega Empire threw at him. I wish they've made 3 3/4 action figures of Actarus and Alcor instead of those 8 inch super joe figures that came out in france. You read right they were part of a GI Joe line up in france.

Back on topic, I wont need the printing service. My file got corrupted through transfer...zut alors!

And back on topic for myself too, I'll be bringing all my customs (even the LBC ones) to show off, including some I haven't posted online as of yet, so they'll be officially showcased at the meet. Seriously, no one but me has seen these customs.

My Daina custom should be an especially fun trip down the customizer's memory lane. :P

I'll also bring WIPs if you guys want to check up on my progresses. :P

I'm also working on a webcast of the event, complete with confessional interviews. Just need to find free hosting space.

Obviously late to this as I was on vacation, but JoeCanuck.com has TONS of spare space if you need it Ryan.... so does Bountyhuntertoys.com :shifty:

So... how did it go guys? No postings? No updates?

No pictures?
Mike

I'm no good at posting this kinda stuff unless someone posts first... So I'm kinda waiting for someone to post first.  :shifty:

Unless they did the webcast/confessional before I got there, there was no webcast/confessional.

Only Kadarle and Scramble/Tank Girl brought cameras, so it's up to them to post pics.

Jay,
It's simple!!!

Just do it like a 'Diary' or a 'Blog' type thing.

Just write about the events and such when YOU got there until you left.

Check past threads of the Joe Meet in Hamilton for ideas. ;-)

It was a cool day.
Glad that I finaly met other collectors. You guys are awesome people.

There was the board game (Scramble's creation), the Joe episodes, the speed painting contest (Bowlhead now stands proudly on his file card in display), the custom figures on display and of course Kadarle's massive Terrordrome which is really cool and impressive, can't wait to see it once its done.

Tina, your brownies were excellent. Better than the one I got at La cage after the meet.

Speaking of which it was fun to goof around with the double J at the restaurant. Keep the hatred alive guys, because we hate them so much!!! (They'll understand)

  Big thanks to Ryan (Scramble) for setting this up.
