Low light? with pockets???

Ding Ding Ding...

Ladies and Gentlemen

[move:2dm2548d]We HAVE A WINNER !  ;D[/move:2dm2548d]

Congratulations Propergrounds, you win a non-existent No-Prize :P

I just had a chance to checkup now and see that the winning response was given, I am costuming as Low Light :)

The colour of the pants themselves were the clue, hard to find stuff in my size so I just went with the bdu's I have already thinking they'd be appropriate for the outfit.

Though there might be some minor deviations, the outfit will be instantly recognizable from the other end of the dealers room.

I was inspired by the recent feature on the new figure and will be attempting an amalgam of the original depiction and the new one, going so far as to have purchased a sheet of clear red plastic (for lighting filters) to augment the goggles.

I'll post updates with the outfit as time permits.

This is fun, thanks all for playing along and congrats again to our winner :)

Nope.

Might consider it if I work out a bit more and shave my head ;)

Nope :)

Heh, if I took a timbit for every wrong answer so far I'd have plenty of them :P

Good guesses so far but no dice.

Recapping which character I'm recreating:

He's part of the Joe Team, seen in the 80's Marvel comic run along with the Sunbow cartoon.

... also ...

Was a figure available in stores, originally released sometime in the 80's.

Because that's the only rifle I had handy at the time and I'm a member of ColonialMarines.ca ;)

It's not right that you haven't gone as Flint yet.

I tried that in 2003...

Yes they are pants, Propper (TM) brand ripstop slate/dark grey.

Yes I will be going as a Carded character.

Yes it is a member of the Joe Team.

I have been very particular about the colour matching to be as close to the figure and cartoon/comic depiction as mush as economically and logistical feasible.

Thanks y'all for the timbits and regards :)

Nope.

Recapping a previous clue I'm going as a well known Joe from the original 80's run, I'll narrow it down: between 1982-1989

Life has hit me with a few curveballs like usual and I won't be able to devote as much time as one would like to my costuming efforts, but trust me this is a good thing.

I'm only going to have 1 new costume this year.  But again it will be a new costume and added to the prior clues I let loose I think the answer should come fairly easy with the posting of a photo of an element to the outfit.

Sorry for size, mods/admin please feel free to edit.

So yeah let the guessing begin.  I now have all the pieces I need to pull off the outfit thanks to a $5 find at Value Village during their 50% off day today :P

Hint:  For the costume I have planned already I will be clean shaven  :o

Then I grow it back on for my Jayne Cobb costume about a month later when I meet Adam Baldwin ;)

Flint is a possibility, only thing I'd really need for that would be shoty shells and attached to chest webbing.

I've already done Storm Shadow, waaaay back in 2003, check the video for some LOLs, it also won best presentation award that year:

Hmmm, Zartan... I have a compound bow and if there is a mini dish that can be found in my travels to recreate his audio enhancer (re: assassination of Hard Master) then All I have to do is design his body armour from scratch :P ...

Cobra Soldier/Bludd are only stymied because I don't have the cash to fork out for an appropriate helmet... truth told I prefer not to use them for a variety of reasons ;)

SID: How about a Firefly version 1 costume?

Very possible, but I am hinky on the thought of going as a saboteur who specializes in explosions with IEDs and the like...
