if we do the friday night admission, are we still eligible to try and get the con set?
-
Trivia contest? Time to download some previous eps of the GIJoe Review podcast.

Of course you are! But, for obvious reason, if you do the Saturday admission (which is included with the Friday night one) you won't be able to stay in line to get a con set.
-
OK, just checking on how the friday night admission works with the con set. If we pay $25 to get in Friday night, is that subtracted from our con set price, or is the con set the same price whether we pay for Friday or not?

Admission and Con set are two different things, and will have two different places to pay for them.
I'll explain more next week.
But basically, if you wanted to do the Friday night admission, and the con set the next day (assuming you're in line early enough), then your TOTAL amount spent will be $150.00. (125 for set / 25 for early admission)

Thank GOD! I wanted to attend the Friday events but I still wanted to get the CON set! So as long as I line up with everybody Saturday morning I can get the CON set! SWEET!
-
So I we skip the Friday night early, the today to get in Saturday with the Con Set is $125?
-
How does the early attendee exclusive work, available to the first 50 in line for the con set?

Let me make this very clear for everyone since I've gotten some PMs about this as well:
FRIDAY:
You have the OPTION of showing up and picking up a Con Comic, taking care of your registration, getting your admission pass for Saturday, and picking up your shirts if you pre-ordered one.
IF you decide to check out the dealer room while the vendors are setting up, then it's a $25.00 fee - which INCLUDES your $15.00 admission fee for Saturday and grants you early access to the con on Saturday. It does NOT guarantee you a convention set or early attendance item.
SATURDAY:
Admission is $15.00 UNLESS you paid for the early admission either Friday night, or at 7:30 in the morning on Saturday. If you paid the early fee for 7:30 on Saturday ($25.00) then you may not get a convention set unless you already have a wristband (more on that to come on Monday/Tuesday).
If you want any of the exclusives, the prices are marked at CanadianJoeCon.com per item - and are EXTRA above your admission price to the Convention.
Does that make sense to everyone now?
How does the early attendee exclusive work, available to the first 50 in line for the con set?
First come basis, Saturday morning.
-
ok how do we get the bands?

ok how do we get the bands?
I think it's going to be on saturday morning.. first come, first serve..

:(
Lack of involvement last year, more guests this year means something had to go. Speed Painting was it.
It will be back next year as we'll do a "pre-register' for it in advance. If there's enough interest, then it's back. If not, then it's another casualty of the "Convention" (along with the Joe vs Cobra Wrestling).
But there WILL be a customs table display - so bring your customs or dioramas and set them up!

i liked joe vs cobra wrestling, think it might come back?
-
yeah I'm bringing some customs with me. hopefully the set up area will be a little more obvious this year... and more people will bring some to show off.

You didn't listen to the G.I. Joe Review I was part of, did you. ;-)
It possibly may be back. But the cost of the systems now, and the controllers is a big deciding factor in that. I'm not donating my PS3 to be used - and I don't think anyone else would either.
So, I'll look into an option for next year.
